Bedload studies at the particle scale may help grasp the essence of the problem.Existing studies suffer from short filming durations,limited data volume,and a narrow range of sediment transport intensity variations.This paper employs the high-speed photography technology and conducts experimental studies on bedload particle motion under 8 different sediment transport intensities.Using the latest image processing technology,over 6 million sediment particle coordinate points and nearly 400,000 particle motion trajectory curves were automatically obtained and used to compare the motion characteristics of bedload particles under different sediment transport intensities.The results show that under low sediment transport intensity,both the number of moving particles and particle motion velocity contribute to the bedload sediment transport rate,while under high-intensity conditions,the transport rate mainly depends on the number of moving particles.The probability density distribution of sediment transport rate is concentrated and varies within a small range under low-intensity conditions,exhibiting a tailing phenomenon.In contrast,under high-intensity conditions,the range of sediment transport rate values increases,and the probability density curve tends to be symmetric,more closely approximating a normal distribution.Additionally,the paper compares the longitudinal and transverse motion velocities of particles and the coefficient of variation of the bedload sediment transport rate. 展开更多

The tensile and fracture behavior of DZ68 directionally solidified Ni-base superalloy was studied in the temperature range of room temperature (RT) to 1000℃. The fracture mode was examined by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The results show the tensile strength and yield strength of DZ68 alloy increase slightly with increasing temperature, so that at 760℃ its reach maxima value: 1214 and 1019 MPa, respectively. When the experimental temperature is higher than 760℃, the tensile and yield strengths decrease evidently and the ductility increases remarkably. The fractograph of fracture surface for the tensile specimen at room temperature shows a dimple-ductile fracture mode. The fractograph from 760 to 850℃ shows a slide fracture mode. The fractograph from 900 to 1000℃ exhibits a creep rupture mode with uneven deformation. 展开更多

It is well known that the use of woods as construction materials can embody carbon content of structural members,which can enhance the urban sustainability.However,due to the combustibility of wood,its current application is restricted.To broaden the application of wood,its thermal responses exposed to fire(high temperature)is investigated in this study.Firstly,the wood kinetic parameters are determined by coats-redfern method using thermal gravimetric(TGA)data.Secondly,the density and thermal conductivity are obtained from parallel and series models.Thirdly,the specific heat capacity formula is presented considering latent and decomposition heat,which can be directly determined by differential scanning calorimetry(DSC).Finally,the one-dimensional nonlinear heat transfer model with apparent thermo-physical properties is proposed.The four-sided heating experiment of Laminated Veneer Lumber(LVL)is carried out to investigate the temperature filed.The results show that the proposed model can predict the thermal responses of timber structures subjected to fire and high temperatures precisely. 展开更多

Ultra-fine-grained commercial purity aluminum was produced by severe cold rolling, annealing and then strain- ing at ultra-high rate by a single pass laser shock. Resulted microstructure was investigated by transmission electron microscopy. Microhardness of annealed 0.6μm ultra-fine grained aluminum increased by 67% from 24 to 40 HV. Many 0.3 μm sub-grains appeared at the shock wave center after a single pass laser shock, while high density dislocation networks were observed in some grains at the shock wave edges. Accordingly, microhardness at the impact center increased by 37.5% from 40 to 55 HV. From the impact center to the edge, microhardness decreased by 22% from 55 to 45 HV. 展开更多

Metastatic breast cancer(MBC) is one of the most common and knotty diseases in female population which could place them in a life-threatening condition. For malignant proliferation and migration, cancer cells require a large amount of glucose and energy to meet the demand of rapid metabolism. Hence,efficiently diminishing the utilization of energy substances by cancer cells is emerging as validated therapeutic strategies for cancer therapy. Herein, a nanoplatform with dual-inhibition of glucose uptake and oxidative phosphorylation(OXPHOS) was designed, which consisted of albendazole(ABZ) and atovaquone(ATO) by simple carrier-free self-assembling. The introduction of ABZ could evidently decrease glucose uptake to reduce the main “energy fuel” of cancer cells. Meanwhile, as a blocker of OXPHOS, ATO would reduce adenosine triphosphate(ATP) production and ameliorate hypoxia microenvironment by suppressing mitochondrial respiratory chain. Under such dual inhibition of energy metabolism, AA NPs exerted synergistic energy exhaustion effect and outstanding hypoxia improvement function, efficiently inhibiting tumor growth and metastasis. This research not only illustrates the feasibility of energy metabolism therapy by co-inhibiting glucose uptake and OXPHOS, but also provides an ingenious tactic to diminish metastasis during MBC treatment. 展开更多

The liver is a multifaceted organ that is responsible for many critical functions encompassing amino acid,carbohydrate,and lipid metabolism,all of which make a healthy liver essential for the human body.Contemporary imaging methodologies have remarkable diagnostic accuracy in discerning focal liver lesions;however,a comprehensive understanding of diffuse liver diseases is a requisite for radiologists to accurately diagnose or predict the progression of such lesions within clinical contexts.Nonetheless,the conventional attributes of radiological features,including morphology,size,margin,density,signal intensity,and echoes,limit their clinical utility.Radiomics is a widely used approach that is characterized by the extraction of copious image features from radiographic depictions,which gives it considerable potential in addressing this limitation.It is worth noting that functional or molecular alterations occur significantly prior to the morphological shifts discernible by imaging modalities.Consequently,the explication of potential mechanisms by multiomics analyses(encompassing genomics,epigenomics,transcriptomics,proteomics,and metabolomics)is essential for investigating putative signal pathway regulations from a radiological viewpoint.In this review,we elaborate on the principal pathological categorizations of diffuse liver diseases,the evaluation of multiomics approaches pertaining to diffuse liver diseases,and the prospective value of predictive models.Accordingly,the overarching objective of this review is to scrutinize the interrelations between radiological features and bioinformatics as well as to consider the development of prediction models predicated on radiobioinformatics as integral components of clinical decision support systems for diffuse liver diseases. 展开更多
