It is widely present across a range of cutting processes, and has an impact upon both efficiency and quality in production processing. A great deal of research has been dedicated to the development of technologies that are able to predict and detect chatter. The purpose of these technologies is to facilitate the avoidance of chatter during cutting processes, which leads to better surface precision, higher productivity, and longer tool life. This paper summarizes the current state of the art in research regarding the problems of how to arrive at stable chatter prediction, chatter identification, and chatter control/-suppression, with a focus on milling processes. Particular focus is placed on the theoretical relationship between cutting chatter and process damping, tool runout, and gyroscopic effect, as well as the importance of this for chatter prediction. The paper concludes with some reflections regarding possible directions for future research in this field.展开更多

Is the mechanism related to the deposition of beta-amyloid peptide (A β ) in hippocampus? OBJECTIVE: To observe the effect of Tongxinluo on cognitive impairment in a mouse model with vascular dementia and the changes of A β deposition and β -secretase 1 (BACE1) expression. DESIGN: Randomized controlled study. SETTING: State Key Laboratory of Pharmaceutical Biotechnology of Nanjing University and Affiliated Drum Tower Hospital of Nanjing University Medical School. MATERIALS: The experiment was carried out in the State Key Laboratory of Pharmaceutical Biotechnology of Nanjing University and Affiliated Drum Tower Hospital of Nanjing University Medical School from March 2006 to January 2007. A total of 36 healthy Kunming mice, 18 of each gender, were chosen. The study was conducted in accordance with the National Regulations of Experimental Animal Administration, and all animal experiments were approved by the Committee of Experimental Animal Administration of Nanjing University. Tongxinluo was provided by Shijiazhuang Yiling Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. METHODS: All mice were randomly divided into 6 groups, including naive control (n=6), sham-operated control (n=6) and experimental groups treated with different doses of Tongxinluo (0.2, 0.4, and 0.6 g/kg/d; n=6 for each group) or vehicle (n=6). Five groups were subjected to bilateral common carotid arteries (2-VO) occlusion to produce a vascular dementia model (no occlusion was performed in sham-operated group). The mice in the Tongxinluo treatment groups were intragastricly administered daily with a Tongxinluo suspension (40 g/L in distilled water) at doses of 0.2, 0.4 or 0.6 g/kg/d from day 1 to day 30 post-surgery. The animals in vehicle, sham-operated and naive groups were administered an equal volume of distilled water. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: ①Escape latency time determined in all groups of mice before and after 2-VO occlusion by Morris water maze. ②Changes in BACEI mRNA expression in the hippocampi of mice among the six groups by RT-PCR assay, and BACEI and A β protein expression in the hippocampi of mice by Western blot. RESULTS: All 36 mice were involved in the final analysis.① No difference was detected in escape latency time to a hidden platform among all groups in water maze test before surgery (P 〉 0.05) At 30 days after 2-VO occlusion, the vehicle animals exhibited a significantly longer latency in finding the hidden platform compared to that of sham-operated and naive animals (P 〈 0.01). The prolonged escape latency was significantly reduced by oral administration of 0.4 g or 0.6 kg/day (P 〈 0.01, P 〈 0.05). BACEI mRNA and protein expression in vehicle animals were much higher than in sham-operated and naive animals (P 〈 0.01). The ischemia-induced increases in BACE1 mRNA and protein level were attenuated by all three doses of Tongxinluo treatment (P 〈 0.01), and the 0.4 g/kg/d treatment was the most effective. A β protein expression in vehicle animals after 2-VO occlusion were much higher than in sham-operated and naive animals (P 〈 0.01). 2-VO occlusion-induced A β generation was significantly attenuated by all doses of Tongxinluo treatment, with the most effective dose being 0.4 g/kg/d (P 〈 0.01). CONCLUSION: BACE1 mRNA levels and protein levels of BACEI and A β are reduced in the hippocampi of vascular dementia model mice by all three doses of Tongxinluo treatment, with the most effective dose being 0.4 g/kg/d. The results suggest that inhibition of post-ischemia BACEI expression and A β generation in brain might underlie Tongxinluo's effects in improving cognitive impairment.展开更多

The Three Gorges Dam(TGD),as the largest dam in the world, is a typical example, and has influenced the mass anomalies transported by the flow downstream in the Yangtze River since June 2003. However, the evidence of TGD influence on downstream mass transportation is not documented. In this study, we analyze the monthly gravity solutions from GRACE to investigate the downstream mass variations of Yangtze River. From our results, the considerable mass loss is detected in the downstream of TGD. By comparing our estimations with the in situ water level data of TGD, we find that the mass variations derived from GRACE at Datong station decreases shortly after the impoundment of TGD. This confirms a strong connection between them.Furthermore, by comparing with the in situ sediment load and river discharge at Yichang and Datong gauging stations, we find that the sediment load data shows a similar mass loss signature while the river discharge of both stations has stay at a relative stable level. This indicates that further study is still needed to understand the mechanism better.展开更多

The results showed that both of ethanol concentration and ultrasonic time had a significant effect on polyphenol extraction, and there was significant interaction between any two variables in the three parameters of ethanol concentration, ultrasonic temperature and ultrasonic time. The optimal parameters for polyphenol extraction were the ethanol concentration of 52.67%, ultrasonic temperature at 49.21 ℃and ultrasonic time of 30.76 min. Under these conditions, the actual content of polyphenols was close to the predicted value. Therefore, the process can be used to extract polyphenols from black pine needles.展开更多

The test results showed that niobium tend to exist in solution state in matrix with less precipitation, and niobium-titanium could be precipitated in form of (Nb, Ti)C or (Nb, Ti) (C, N), which play an important role in increasing yield strength (from 495 MPa to 610 MPa). Besides, the retained austenite had a positive effect on improving the plasticity by transformation into martensite during tensile deformation.展开更多

The results suggest that inhibition of post-ischemia BACEI expression and A β generation in brain might underlie Tongxinluo's effects in improving cognitive impairment.

文摘1.Introduction The real question is not whether machines think but whether men do.Burrhus Frederic Skineer Dedicated manufacturing systems are fading out as future manufacturing(i.e.,Industry 4.0[1])demands ultra-flexible smart manufacturing systems that can self-adapt to production process changes resulting from the varied batch sizes of personalized products[2–4].The manufacturing shop-floor can become an unstructured environment where manufacturing systems and processes change their configurations dynamically via adaptive near-real-time decision-making.One emerging trend to make manufacturing flexible and reconfigurable is to introduce collaborative machines that work alongside humans with high productivity[5-7].

文摘Topography and soil factors are known to play crucial roles in the species composition of plant communities in subtropical evergreen-deciduous broadleaved mixed forests. In this study,we used a systematic quantitative approach to classify plant community types in the subtropical forests of Hubei Province(central China),and then quantified the relative contribution of drivers responsible for variation in species composition and diversity. We classified the subtropical forests in the study area into 12 community types.Of these, species diversity indices of three communities were significantly higher than those of others. In each community type, species richness, abundance, basal area and importance values of evergreen and deciduous species were different. In most community types, deciduous species richness was higher than that of evergreen species.Linear regression analysis showed that the dominant factors that affect species composition in each community type are elevation, slope, aspect, soil nitrogen content, and soil phosphorus content.Furthermore, structural equation modeling analysis showed that the majority of variance in species composition of plant communities can be explained by elevation, aspect, soil water content, litterfall, total nitrogen, and total phosphorus. Thus, the major factors that affect evergreen and deciduous species distribution across the 12 community types in subtropical evergreendeciduous broadleaved mixed forests include elevation, slope and aspect, soil total nitrogen content, soil total phosphorus content, soil available nitrogen content and soil available phosphorus content.

文摘Anthropogenic architectures have a significant impact to the environment. This indicates that further study is still needed to understand the mechanism better.

文摘Ultrasonic extraction conditions of polyphenols from the needles of black pine(Pinus thunbergii) were optimized by single factors analysis and Box-Behnken experiment design. Therefore, the process can be used to extract polyphenols from black pine needles.

文摘Tomato(Solanum lycopersicum)is among the most important vegetables across the world, but cold stress usually affects its yield and quality. The wild tomato species Solanum habrochaites is commonly utilized as rootstock for enhancing resistance against abiotic stresses in cultivated tomato, especially cold resistance. However, the underlying molecular mechanism remains unclear. In this research,we confirmed that S.habrochaites rootstock can improve the cold tolerance of cultivated tomato scions,as revealed by growth, physiological, and biochemical indicators.Furthermore, transcriptome profiling indicated significant differences in the scion of homo-and heterografted seedlings, including substantial changes in jasmonic acid(JA)biosynthesis and signaling, which were validated by RT–qPCR analysis.S.habrochaites plants had a high basal level of jasmonate, and cold stress caused a greater amount of active JA-isoleucine in S.habrochaites heterografts. Moreover, exogenous JA enhanced while JA inhibitor decreased the cold tolerance of tomato grafts. The JA biosynthesis-defective mutant spr8 also showed increased sensitivity to cold stress. All of these results demonstrated the significance of JA in the cold tolerance of grafted tomato seedlings with S.habrochaites rootstock, suggesting a future direction for the characterization of the natural variation involved in S.habrochaites rootstock-mediated cold tolerance.
文摘Nb-Tihot-rolled TRIP-assisted steel with high plasticity and appropriate volume percentage of retained austenite based on fine ferrite grain have been developed in the experiment. Besides, the retained austenite had a positive effect on improving the plasticity by transformation into martensite during tensile deformation.
