In view of the employment difficulty of English major graduates from private universities in Guangdong Province under the background of the "Double Reduction" policy, this paper adopts the SWOT analysis meth...In view of the employment difficulty of English major graduates from private universities in Guangdong Province under the background of the "Double Reduction" policy, this paper adopts the SWOT analysis method and conducts an in-depth analysis of the employment situation of English major graduates through questionnaires, fully integrates the macro background of the "Double Reduction" policy, comprehensively analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of internal and external factors of English major graduates in employment, as well as their development opportunities and threats under the new employment pattern, and finally, from the perspectives of individuals, universities, society, etc., This paper puts forward some corresponding solutions, such as strengthening the core quality of English major students, improving the ability to apply knowledge and create value, giving full play to the advantages of "English+other majors" training mode, and strengthening the matching between the talent training structure of colleges and universities and the demand of the employment market, etc., so as to provide some reference for further scientific and objective exploration of the future development path of English major students and helping the majority of English major graduates to achieve employment smoothly.展开更多
