Methods: 55 patients with high lumbar disc herniation were selected for this study. There was no difference in basic data between the patient groups (P > 0.05), with statistical significance. To analyze the effect of transforaminal lumbar interbody fusion in the treatment of high lumbar disc herniation, such as the relief of headache, lumbago, chest pain and leg pain before and after operation. Results: 55 patients underwent interbody fusion through the intervertebral foramen, and no abnormal operation occurred. After the operation, the pain of the patients decreased significantly and the VAS was lower than 5, indicating that the operation was effective. At the same time, the patients were followed up for 12 months. The numbness of the lower limbs was relieved. At the same time, many functional indicators of the patients were improved, such as backache and sphincter function. During the last follow-up, the patient's lumbar dynamic position and X-ray diagnostic results showed that the patient's internal fixation system did not have fracture and loosening problems, and at the same time, the fusion cage did not sink, thus improving the patient's symptoms and promoting the degree of bone graft fusion of the patient. Conclusion: transforaminal interbody fusion can effectively treat high-level lumbar disc herniation, improve the quality of life of patients, and improve low back pain, leg pain, headache and chest pain after operation.
