文摘With the boom in electric vehicles(EVs),there is an increasing demand for high-performance lithium-ion batteries.Lithium manganese iron phosphate(LMFP)has emerged as an enhanced variation of LiFePO4(LFP),offering an energy density 10%–20%greater than that of LFP.Structural distortion caused by the Jahn–Teller effect decreases the capacity and voltage platform, thus restricting the commercialization of this material.Herein, ideas to overcome these challenges, including the crystal structure of LMFP and strategies to mitigate the Jahn–Teller distortion, are first explored. Then, the migration pathways of Li+during charging and discharging and the phase transition mechanisms that affect the material’s performance are discussed.Next, the optimal Mn:Fe ratio for achieving the desired performance is described. The influences of various synthesis and modification methods on the morphology and structure of LMFP are reviewed.Additionally, different modification techniques, such as doping and coating,to enhance the performance of LMFP are highlighted. Finally,an overview of the current state of research on the recycling and reuse of LMFP is provided.By addressing these key topics, this paper offers a theoretical foundation for the further development of LMFP,thus contributing to its eventual commercialization.

文摘Polyurethane foam, when used as a compressible layer in deep soft rock tunnels, offers a feasible solution to reduce the support pressure on the secondary lining. The foam spraying method using sprayed polyurethane material is convenient for engineering applications;however, the compressive behaviour and feasibility of sprayed polyurethane material as a compressible layer remain unclear. To address this gap, this study conducts uniaxial compression tests and scanning electron microscope(SEM)tests to investigate the compressive behaviour of the rigid foams fabricated from a self-developed polyurethane spray material.A peridynamics model for the composite lining with a polyurethane compressible layer is then established. After validating the proposed method by comparison with two tests,a parametric study is carried out to investigate the damage evolution of the composite lining with a polyurethane compressible layer under various combinations of large deformations and compressible layer parameters. The results indicate that the polyurethane compressible layer effectively reduces the radial deformation and damage index of the secondary lining while increasing the damage susceptibility of the primary lining. The thickness of the polyurethane compressible layer significantly influences the prevention effect of large deformation-induced damage to the secondary lining within the density range of 50e100 kg/m^(3).In accordance with the experimental and simulation results,a simple, yet reasonable and convenient approach for determining the key parameters of the polyurethane compressible layer is proposed, along with a classification scheme for the parameters of the polyurethane compressible layer.

文摘Civil aviation is one of the industries facing the greatest challenge in reaching carbon neutrality by the middle of this century, and this sector also contributes to adverse impacts on the regional air quality and human health.China exhibits the second highest air passenger turnover worldwide. Our understanding of civil aviation emissionsmust be urgently enhanced, and themitigation potential should be explored. In this study,on the basis of real domestic flight information for 2019,we built a greenhouse gas and air pollution emission inventory for the civil aviation sector in China with the fuel flowmethod based on the cruise and other phases. We thoroughly analyzed emissions by region, aircraft and engine types, and aircraft age, based on which we designed four measures to evaluate the abatement potential. We found that the hydrocarbon(HC),CO,NO_(x),SO_(2),particulate matter(PM)and CO_(2)emissions in 2019 reached 79.9 kt(95%CI[51.6–114.5]),176.3 kt(95%CI[114.5–248.2]),304.2 kt(95%CI[203.4–420.7]),23.2 kt(95%CI[14.2–33.7]),1.0 kt(95%CI[0.61–1.44])and 87.0 Mt(95%CI[57.4–119.6]),respectively.The cruise phase was the major emission phase, accounting for 67%-87%of the total pollutant emissions. If four measures were jointly implemented, the HC,CO,NO_(x),SO_(2),PM and CO_(2)emissions could be reduced by 61%,54%,55%,45%,32%and 38%,respectively.Utilizing lower-emission aircraft and switching travel modes could substantially reduce civil aviation emissions in China.

文摘Mixed polyanion phosphate Na_(4)Fe_(3)(PO_(4))_(2)P_(2)O_(7)(NFPP)is regarded as the most promising cathode material for sodium-ion batteries(SIBs),due to its high structural stability and low-cost environmental friendliness. However, its intrinsic low conductivity and sluggish Na^(+)diffusion restricted the fast-charge and low-temperature sodium storage.Herein,an NFPP composite encapsulated by in-situ pyrolytic carbon and coupled with expanded graphite(NFPP@C/EG)was constructed via a sol-gel method followed by a ballmill procedure.Due to the dual-carbon modified strategy, this NFPP@C/EG only enhanced the electronic conductivity, but also endowed more channels for Na^(+)diffusion. As cathode for SIBs,the optimized NFPP(M-NFPP@C/EG)delivers excellent rate capability(capacity of~80.5 mAh/g at 50 C)and outstanding cycling stability(11000 cycles at 50 C with capacity retention of 89.85%).Additionally,cyclic voltammetry(CV)confirmed that its sodium storage behavior is pseudocapacitance-controlled,with in-situ electrochemical impedance spectroscopy(EIS)further elucidating improvements in electrode reaction kinetics. At lower temperatures(0℃),M-NFPP@C/EG demonstrated exceptional cycling performance(8800 cycles at 10 C with capacity retention of 95.81%).Moreover,pouch cells also exhibited excellent stability. This research demonstrates the feasibility of a dual carbon modification strategy in enhancing NFPP and proposes a low-cost,high-rate,and ultra-stable cathode material for SIBs.

文摘Surrounding rock deterioration and large deformation have always been a significant difficulty in designing and constructing tunnels in soft rock. The key lies in real-time perception and quantitative assessment of the damaged area around the tunnel. An in situ microseismic(MS)monitoring system is established in the plateau soft tock tunnel. This technique facilitates spatiotemporal monitoring of the rock mass's fracturing expansion and squeezing deformation, which agree well with field convergence deformation results. The formation mechanisms of progressive failure evolution of soft rock tunnels were discussed and analyzed with MS data and numerical results. The results demonstrate that:(1)Localized stress concentration and layered rock result in significant asymmetry in micro-fractures propagation in the tunnel radial section. As excavation continues, the fracture extension area extends into the deep surrounding rockmass on the east side affected by the weak bedding;(2)Tunnel excavation and long-term deformation can induce tensile shear action on the rock mass, vertical tension fractures(account for 45%)exist in deep rockmass, which play a crucial role in controlling the macroscopic failure of surrounding rock;and(3)Based on the radiated MS energy,a three-dimensional model was created to visualize the damage zone of the tunnel surrounding rock. The model depicted varying degrees of damage, and three high damage zones were identified.Generally, the depth of high damage zone ranged from 4 m to 12 m.This study may be a valuable reference for the warning and controlling of large deformations in similar projects.

文摘BACKGROUND Inflammatory bowel disease(IBD)is a global health burden that affects millions of individuals worldwide, necessitating extensive patient education.Large language models(LLMs)hold promise for addressing patient information needs. However,LLM use to deliver accurate and comprehensible IBD-related medical information has yet to be thoroughly investigated.AIM To assess the utility of three LLMs(ChatGPT-4.0,Claude-3-Opus,and Gemini-1.5-Pro)as a reference point for patients with IBD.METHODS In this comparative study, two gastroenterology experts generated 15 IBD-related questions that reflected common patient concerns. These questions were used to evaluate the performance of the three LLMs.The answers provided by each model were independently assessed by three IBD-related medical experts using a Likert scale focusing on accuracy, comprehensibility, and correlation.Simultaneously, three patients were invited to evaluate the comprehensibility of their answers. Finally,a readability assessment was performed.RESULTS Overall, each of the LLMs achieved satisfactory levels of accuracy, comprehensibility, and completeness when answering IBD-related questions, although their performance varies. All of the investigated models demonstrated strengths in providing basic disease information such as IBD definition as well as its common symptoms and diagnostic methods.Nevertheless, when dealing with more complex medical advice, such as medication side effects, dietary adjustments, and complication risks, the quality of answers was inconsistent between the LLMs.Notably,Claude-3-Opus generated answers with better readability than the other two models.CONCLUSION LLMs have the potential as educational tools for patients with IBD;however, there are discrepancies between the models.Further optimization and the development of specialized models are necessary to ensure the accuracy and safety of the information provided.

文摘Sleep disturbances are among the most prevalent neuropsychiatric symptoms in individuals who have recovered from severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 infections.Previous studies have demonstrated abnormal brain structures in patients with sleep disturbances who have recovered from coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19).However,neuroimaging studies on sleep disturbances caused by COVID-19 are scarce, and existing studies have primarily focused on the long-term effects of the virus, with minimal acute phase data.As a result, little is known about the pathophysiology of sleep disturbances in the acute phase of COVID-19.To address this issue,we designed a longitudinal study to investigate whether alterations in brain structure occur during the acute phase of infection, and verified the results using 3-month follow-up data.A total of 26 COVID-19 patients with sleep disturbances(aged 51.5±13.57 years,8 women and 18 men),27 COVID-19 patients without sleep disturbances(aged 47.33±15.98 years,9 women and 18 men),and 31 age-and gender-matched healthy controls(aged 49.19±17.51 years,9 women and 22 men)were included in this study.Eleven COVID-19 patients with sleep disturbances were included in a longitudinal analysis. We found that COVID-19 patients with sleep disturbances exhibited brain structural changes in almost all brain lobes. The cortical thicknesses of the left pars opercularis and left precuneus were significantly negatively correlated with Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index scores.Additionally,we observed changes in the volume of the hippocampus and its subfield regions in COVID-19 patients compared with the healthy controls. The 3-month follow-up data revealed indices of altered cerebral structure(cortical thickness, cortical grey matter volume, and cortical surface area)in the frontal-parietal cortex compared with the baseline in COVID-19 patients with sleep disturbances. Our findings indicate that the sleep disturbances patients had altered morphology in the cortical and hippocampal structures during the acute phase of infection and persistent changes in cortical regions at 3 months post-infection.These data improve our understanding of the pathophysiology of sleep disturbances caused by COVID-19.

文摘Micro-silicon(Si)anode that features high theoretical capacity and fine tap density is ideal for energy-dense lithiumion batteries. However, the substantial localized mechanical strain caused by the large volume expansion often results in electrode disintegration and capacity loss.Herein,a microporous Si anode with the SiO_(x)/C layer functionalized all-surface and high tap density(~0.65 g cm^(-3))is developed by the hydrolysis-driven strategy that avoids the common use of corrosive etchants and toxic siloxane reagents. The functionalized inner pore with superior structural stability can effectively alleviate the volume change and enhance the electrolyte contact.Simultaneously, the outer particle surface forms a continuous network that prevents electrolyte parasitic decomposition, disperses the interface stress of Si matrix and facilitates electron/ion transport. As a result, the micron-sized Si anode shows only~9.94 GPa average stress at full lithiation state and delivers an impressive capacity of 901.1 mAh g^(-1)after 500 cycles at 1 A g^(-1).It also performs excellent rate performance of 1123.0 mAh g^(-1)at 5 A g^(-1)and 850.4 at 8 A g^(-1),far exceeding most of reported literatures.Furthermore, when paired with a commercial LiNi_(0.8)Co_(0.1)Mn_(0.1)O_(2),the pouch cell demonstrates high capacity and desirable cyclic performance.
