This study critically examines academic literature on air baggage operations to address complex challenges impacting passenger experience,including security,operational efficiency,and economic factors.Through sci-ento...This study critically examines academic literature on air baggage operations to address complex challenges impacting passenger experience,including security,operational efficiency,and economic factors.Through sci-entometric analysis of 89 Scopus-indexed studies and 37 on Google Scholar.Key research trends in security/tracking technologies,economic impacts of baggage fees,and operational efficiency are identified.Persistent issues like inter-organizational coordination,mishandling,and technological limitations are highlighted.Policy implications suggest integrated systems,advanced RFID/AI implementation,and revised baggage fee structures balancing cost and service quality for enhanced traveler satisfaction and industry streamlining.展开更多
