The results indicated that besides a small quantity of 6H-SiC, SiC NPs mainly consisted of 3C-SiC. The band gaps of SiC and Cu2O were estimated to be about 1.95 and 2.23 eV from UV-Vis spectra, respectively. The Cu2O modification can enhance the photocatalytic performance of SiC NPs, and the largest yields of methanol on SiC, Cu2O and Cu2O/SiC photocatalysts under visible light irradiation were 153, 104 and 191μmol/g, respectively.展开更多
Purpose:This study aimed to develop quality indicators for the care of older adults with disabilities in long-term care facilities(LTCFs)based on Maslow’s hierarchy of needs.Methods:The draft of the quality indicator...Purpose:This study aimed to develop quality indicators for the care of older adults with disabilities in long-term care facilities(LTCFs)based on Maslow’s hierarchy of needs.Methods:The draft of the quality indicators was drawn up based on a literature review and research group discussion.The quality indicators were finalized by two rounds of expert consultation(involving 15 experts)using the Delphi method.The Analytic Hierarchy Process was applied to calculate the indicators’weight.Results:The response rates of the two rounds of consultation were 100%and 93%,and the expert authority coefficients were 0.86 and 0.87.After two rounds of consultation,the expert opinion coordination coefficients of the first-,second-and third-level indicators were 0.42,0.25,and 0.96,respectively(P<0.05),and the variation coefficient was0.25.The final quality indicators for the care of older adults with disabilities in LTCFs included 7 first-level,19 second-level,and 107 third-level indicators.Conclusion:The quality indicators for the care of older adults with disabilities in LTCFs are reliable,scientific,comprehensive,and practical and specify the content of person-centered care needs.This can provide a reference for evaluating and improving care quality in LTCFs.展开更多
Biomass-derived porous carbon with developed pore structure is critical to achieving high performance electrode materials.In this work,we report a grape-based honeycomb-like porous carbon(GHPC)prepared by KOH activati...Biomass-derived porous carbon with developed pore structure is critical to achieving high performance electrode materials.In this work,we report a grape-based honeycomb-like porous carbon(GHPC)prepared by KOH activation and carbonization,followed by N-doping(NGHPC).The obtained NGHPC exhibits a unique honeycomb-like structure with hierarchically interconnected micro/mesopores,and high specific surface area of 1268 m^2/g.As a supercapacitor electrode,the NGPHC electrode exhibits a remarkable specific capacitance of 275 F/g at 0.5 A/g in a three-electrode cell.Moreover,the NGHPC//NGHPC symmetric supercapacitor displays a high energy density of 12.6 Wh/kg,and excellent cycling stability of approximately 95.2% capacitance retention after 5000 cycles at 5 A/g.The excellent electrochemical performance of NGHPC is ascribed to its high specific surface area,honeycomb-like structure and high-content of pyrodinic-N(36.29%).It is believed that grape-based carbon materials show great potential as advanced electrode materials for supercapacitors.展开更多
Protein ubiquitination is essential for diverse cellular functions including spermatogenesis.The tripartite motif(TRIM)family proteins,most of which have E3 ubiquitin ligase activity,are highly conserved in mammals.Th...Protein ubiquitination is essential for diverse cellular functions including spermatogenesis.The tripartite motif(TRIM)family proteins,most of which have E3 ubiquitin ligase activity,are highly conserved in mammals.They are involved in important cellular processes such as embryonic development,immunity,and fertility.Our previous studies indicated that Trim69,a testis-specific expressed TRIM family gene,potentially participates in the spermatogenesis by mediating testicular cells apoptosis.In this study,we investigated the biological functions of Trim69 in male mice by established Trim69 knockout mice with CRISPR/Cas9 genomic editing technology.Here,we reported that the male Trim69 knockout mice had normal fertility.The adult knockout mice have shown that the appearance of testes,testis/body weight ratios,testicular histomorphology,and the number and quality of sperm were consistent with wild-type mice.These results indicated that the E3 ubiquitin ligase protein Trim69 was not essential for male mouse fertility,and it might be compensated by other TRIM family members such as Trim58 in Trim69-deficiency testis.This study would help to elucidate the functions of tripartite motif protein family and the regulation of spermatogenesis.展开更多
[Objective]The paper was to establish a method for the determination of cyantraniliprole residue in chewing cane,and analyze the residue and digestion dynamics of cyantraniliprole in chewing cane.[Method]The chewing c...[Objective]The paper was to establish a method for the determination of cyantraniliprole residue in chewing cane,and analyze the residue and digestion dynamics of cyantraniliprole in chewing cane.[Method]The chewing cane samples were extracted by acetonitrile,purified by improved QuEChERS method,and detected by UPLC/MS/MS.[Result]Cyananseramide showed a good linear relationship in the concentration range of 0.005-0.250 mg/L(R2=0.9991).When the added mass concentration ranged from 0.02 to 0.40 mg/kg,the recovery rates of cyantraniliprole were respectively 83.1%-110.1%for chewing cane leaves and 88.2%-109.2%for chewing cane stems;the relative standard deviations were respectively2.38%-7.98%for chewing cane leaves and 2.26%-3.10%for chewing cane stems.The limit of detection(LOD)in chewing cane was 0.05μg/kg and the limit of quantification(LOQ)was 0.02 mg/kg.The trial results of two chewing cane fields in Guangxi showed that the half-lives of cyantraniliprole in chewing cane leaves were 7.76 and 6.12 d,respectively,and the correlation coefficients were 0.9570 and 0.9241,respectively.[Conclusion]The method is sensitive,accurate,simple and rapid,and it can be used to determine the residue and half-life of cyantraniliprole in chewing cane.The results will provide technical support for the safe use of cyantraniliprole in chewing cane.展开更多
Background Major infectious disease has become a serious threat to people’s health worldwide.As the world’s largest healthcare workforce and the core forces fighting against the epidemic,nurses are on the frontline ...Background Major infectious disease has become a serious threat to people’s health worldwide.As the world’s largest healthcare workforce and the core forces fighting against the epidemic,nurses are on the frontline of this battle.A number of ethical issues have given rise to numerous concerns that have largely affected nurses in different ways as they respond to the epidemic.In addition,excessive expectations from people can exert undue pressure,which can easily lead to burnout in nurses.Methods In this consensus,the expert panel method was used to develop and reach a consensus.The members involved in the formation of the consensus included an expert discussion panel and a consensus writing expert group,a methodologist,and four secretaries.After 16 rounds of online expert consultation and two rounds of expert panel meetings,the writing team analyzed and reviewed the 78 amendments suggested by the experts to develop a consensus on nursing ethics for prevention and control of major infectious disease outbreaks based on the ethical vision of life care.Results This expert consensus focuses on five essential domains:the responsibilities and rights of nurses,the nurse-patient relationship,the doctor-nurse relationship,and the relationship between society and nurses throughout the epidemic.Conclusions We hope this consensus can help nurses better understand and respond to the ethical issues and challenges in public health emergencies,and raise reasonable public expectations of the roles and responsibilities of nurses in these situations.展开更多
Urban tunnels are generally narrow and fire smoke can hardly diffuse.In the present study,numerical simulation is used to analyze the diffusion of high temperature smoke produced by fire inside a specific tunnel(the K...Urban tunnels are generally narrow and fire smoke can hardly diffuse.In the present study,numerical simulation is used to analyze the diffusion of high temperature smoke produced by fire inside a specific tunnel(the Kaiyuan tunnel).The results are compared with similar data relating to other tests to determine the validity of the numerical method.Moreover,the critical velocity obtained by numerical simulation of 5 MW,20 MW,and 50 MW fires in curved and linear sections of the considered tunnel is compared with the values obtained using empirical formulas.The results show that,for the tunnel ventilation design,it is necessary to consider the fan pressurization at different sections and the fan pressurization should be higher at curved sections than that at linear sections.The safety of personnel escaping under different critical velocity values in the linear section has also been considered.On the basis of our findings,if only relying on natural ventilation,people can escape safely for the case of small fires,whereas for medium and large fires,it is necessary to turn on mechanical ventilation in time(and in order to avoid the danger caused by rapid diffusion of smoke,the timing of mechanical ventilation should be carefully tuned).展开更多
Background:Preclinical studies have indicated that Angong Niuhuang Pills(ANP)reduce cerebral infarct and edema volumes.This study aimed to investigate whether ANP safely reduces cerebral infarct and edema volumes in p...Background:Preclinical studies have indicated that Angong Niuhuang Pills(ANP)reduce cerebral infarct and edema volumes.This study aimed to investigate whether ANP safely reduces cerebral infarct and edema volumes in patients with moderate to severe acute ischemic stroke.Methods:This randomized,double-blind,placebo-controlled pilot trial included patients with acute ischemic stroke with National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale(NIHSS)scores ranging from 10 to 20 in 17 centers in China between April 2021 and July 2022.Patients were allocated within 36 h after onset via block randomization to receive ANP or placebo(3 g/day for 5 days).The primary outcomes were changes in cerebral infarct and edema volumes after 14 days of treatment.The primary safety outcome was severe adverse events(SAEs)for 90 days.Results:There were 57 and 60 patients finally included in the ANP and placebo groups,respectively for modified intention-to-treat analysis.The median age was 66.0 years,and the median NIHSS score at baseline was 12.0.The changes in cerebral infarct volume at day 14 were 0.3 mL and 0.4 mL in the ANP and placebo groups,respectively(median difference:-7.1 mL;interquartile range[IQR]:-18.3 to 2.3 mL,P=0.30).The changes in cerebral edema volume of the ANP and placebo groups on day 14 were 11.4 mL and 4.0 mL,respectively(median difference:3.0 mL,IQR:-1.3 to 9.9 mL,P=0.15).The rates of SAE within 90 days were similar in the ANP(3/57,5%)and placebo(7/60,12%)groups(P=0.36).Changes in serum mercury and arsenic concentrations were comparable.In patients with large artery atherosclerosis,ANP reduced the cerebral infarct volume at 14 days(median difference:-12.3 mL;IQR:-27.7 to-0.3 mL,P=0.03).Conclusions:ANP showed a similar safety profile to placebo and non-significant tendency to reduce cerebral infarct volume in patients with moderate-to-severe stroke.Further studies are warranted to assess the efficacy of ANP in reducing cerebral infarcts and improving clinical prognosis.Trail Registration:Clinicaltrials.gov,No.NCT04475328.展开更多
The Jiangmen Underground Neutrino Observatory(JUNO)features a 20 kt multi-purpose underground liquid scintillator sphere as its main detector.Some of JUNO's features make it an excellent location for^8B solar neut...The Jiangmen Underground Neutrino Observatory(JUNO)features a 20 kt multi-purpose underground liquid scintillator sphere as its main detector.Some of JUNO's features make it an excellent location for^8B solar neutrino measurements,such as its low-energy threshold,high energy resolution compared with water Cherenkov detectors,and much larger target mass compared with previous liquid scintillator detectors.In this paper,we present a comprehensive assessment of JUNO's potential for detecting^8B solar neutrinos via the neutrino-electron elastic scattering process.A reduced 2 MeV threshold for the recoil electron energy is found to be achievable,assuming that the intrinsic radioactive background^(238)U and^(232)Th in the liquid scintillator can be controlled to 10^(-17)g/g.With ten years of data acquisition,approximately 60,000 signal and 30,000 background events are expected.This large sample will enable an examination of the distortion of the recoil electron spectrum that is dominated by the neutrino flavor transformation in the dense solar matter,which will shed new light on the inconsistency between the measured electron spectra and the predictions of the standard three-flavor neutrino oscillation framework.IfDelta m^(2)_(21)=4.8times10^(-5);(7.5times10^(-5))eV^(2),JUNO can provide evidence of neutrino oscillation in the Earth at approximately the 3sigma(2sigma)level by measuring the non-zero signal rate variation with respect to the solar zenith angle.Moreover,JUNO can simultaneously measureDelta m^2_(21)using^8B solar neutrinos to a precision of 20% or better,depending on the central value,and to sub-percent precision using reactor antineutrinos.A comparison of these two measurements from the same detector will help understand the current mild inconsistency between the value of Delta m^2_(21)reported by solar neutrino experiments and the KamLAND experiment.展开更多
This study has developed a novel sensing platform for the investigation of cell oxygen metabolism.With chitosan@TiO_(2) nanocomposites as supporting matrix which was decorated on the surface of indium tin oxide glass,...This study has developed a novel sensing platform for the investigation of cell oxygen metabolism.With chitosan@TiO_(2) nanocomposites as supporting matrix which was decorated on the surface of indium tin oxide glass,it can effectively absorb A549 cells and sensitize the electrochemiluminescence(ECL)of luminol.On this platform,the ECL output is dependent on the level of reactive oxygen species(ROSs),which was evidenced by the intervening of resveratrol,a typical ROSs’scavenger.The results indicated that the ECL signal was quenched by the resveratrol within its concentration range from 0.10 nM to 2.97μM.Thus,it is believable that the ECL of luminol sensitively responded upon oxygenic matters on this living cell platform would be powerful for cell oxygen metabolism monitoring.展开更多
JUNO is a multi-purpose neutrino observatory under construction in the south of China.This publication presents new sensitivity estimates for the measurement of the △m_(31)^(2),△m_(21)^(2),sin^(2)θ_(12),and sin^(2)...JUNO is a multi-purpose neutrino observatory under construction in the south of China.This publication presents new sensitivity estimates for the measurement of the △m_(31)^(2),△m_(21)^(2),sin^(2)θ_(12),and sin^(2)θ_(13) oscillation parameters using reactor antineutrinos,which is one of the primary physics goals of the experiment.The sensitivities are obtained using the best knowledge available to date on the location and overburden of the experimental site,the nuclear reactors in the surrounding area and beyond,the detector response uncertainties,and the reactor antineutrino spectral shape constraints expected from the TAO satellite detector.It is found that the △m_(21)^(2) and sin^(2)θ_(12) oscillation parameters will be determined to 0.5%precision or better in six years of data collection.In the same period,the △m_(31)^(2) parameter will be determined to about 0.2%precision for each mass ordering hypothesis.The new precision represents approximately an order of magnitude improvement over existing constraints for these three parameters.展开更多
Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2)infection can lead to respiratory illness and multi-organ failure in critically ill patients.Although the virus-induced lung damage and inflammatory cytokine ...Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2)infection can lead to respiratory illness and multi-organ failure in critically ill patients.Although the virus-induced lung damage and inflammatory cytokine storm are believed to be directly associated with coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)clinical manifestations,the underlying mechanisms of virus-triggered inflammatory responses are currently unknown.Here we report that SARS-CoV-2 infection activates caspase-8 to trigger cell apoptosis and inflammatory cytokine processing in the lung epithelial cells.The processed inflammatory cytokines are released through the virus-induced necroptosis pathway.Virus-induced apoptosis,necroptosis,and inflammation activation were also observed in the lung sections of SARS-CoV-2-infected HFH4-hACE2 transgenic mouse model,a valid model for studying SARS-CoV-2 pathogenesis.Furthermore,analysis of the postmortem lung sections of fatal COVID-19 patients revealed not only apoptosis and necroptosis but also massive inflammatory cell infiltration,necrotic cell debris,and pulmonary interstitial fibrosis,typical of immune pathogenesis in the lung.The SARS-CoV-2 infection triggered a dual mode of cell death pathways and caspase-8-dependent inflammatory responses may lead to the lung damage in the COVID-19 patients.These discoveries might assist the development of therapeutic strategies to treat COVID-19.展开更多
Increases in recorded high temperatures around the world are causing plant thermomorphogenesis and decreasing crop productivity.PHYTOCHROME INTERACTING FACTOR 4(PIF4)is a central positive regulator of plant thermomorp...Increases in recorded high temperatures around the world are causing plant thermomorphogenesis and decreasing crop productivity.PHYTOCHROME INTERACTING FACTOR 4(PIF4)is a central positive regulator of plant thermomorphogenesis.However,the molecular mechanisms underlying PIF4-regulated thermomorphogenesis remain largely unclear.In this study,we identified ABNORMAL THERMOMORPHOGENESIS 1(ABT1)as an important negative regulator of PIF4 and plant thermomorphogenesis.Overexpression of ABT1 in the activation tagging mutant abt1-D caused shorter hypocotyls and petioles under moderately high temperature(HT).ABT1 encodes WRKY14,which belongs to subgroup II of the WRKY transcription factors.Overexpression of ABT1/WRKY14 or its close homologs,including ABT2/WRKY35,ABT3/WRKY65,and ABT4/WRKY69in transgenic plants caused insensitivity to HT,whereas the quadruple mutant abt1 abt2 abt3 abt4 exhibited greater sensitivity to HT.ABTs were expressed in hypocotyls,cotyledons,shoot apical meristems,and leaves,but their expression were suppressed by HT.Biochemical assays showed that ABT1 can interact with TCP5,a known positive regulator of PIF4,and interrupt the formation of the TCP5-PIF4 complex and repress its transcriptional activation activity.Genetic analysis showed that ABT1 functioned antagonistically with TCP5,BZR1,and PIF4 in plant thermomorphogenesis.Taken together,our results identify ABT1/WRKY14 as a critical repressor of plant thermomorphogenesis and suggest that ABT1/WRKY14,TCP5,and PIF4 may form a sophisticated regulatory module to fine-tune PIF4 activity and temperature-dependent plant growth.展开更多
The Jiangmen Underground Neutrino Observatory(JUNO)is a large liquid scintillator detector designed to explore many topics in fundamental physics.In this study,the potential of searching for proton decay in the p→νK...The Jiangmen Underground Neutrino Observatory(JUNO)is a large liquid scintillator detector designed to explore many topics in fundamental physics.In this study,the potential of searching for proton decay in the p→νK^(+)mode with JUNO is investigated.The kaon and its decay particles feature a clear three-fold coincidence signature that results in a high efficiency for identification.Moreover,the excellent energy resolution of JUNO permits suppression of the sizable background caused by other delayed signals.Based on these advantages,the detection efficiency for the proton decay via p→νK^(+)is 36.9%±4.9%with a background level of 0.2±0.05(syst)±0.2(stat)events after 10 years of data collection.The estimated sensitivity based on 200 kton-years of exposure is 9.6×1033 years,which is competitive with the current best limits on the proton lifetime in this channel and complements the use of different detection technologies.展开更多

Objective:This survey was designed to understand the misconceptions about labor epidurals.Methods:This voluntary and anonymous online survey on wenjuan.com was conducted from September 1st,2015 to January 1st,2016 via...Objective:This survey was designed to understand the misconceptions about labor epidurals.Methods:This voluntary and anonymous online survey on wenjuan.com was conducted from September 1st,2015 to January 1st,2016 via mainly WeChat groups dedicated to perinatal healthcare providers in China.The questionnaire included items inquiring the knowledge and opinions about labor epidural analgesia related to maternal complications,baby safety,and effect on laboring.Incomplete surveys were excluded from the data analysis.The data was presented as percentages and a Chi-square test or Fisher's exact test,as appreciate,was used to quantitatively compare the results.Results:A total of 1412 respondents completed surveys with 42.9%(606/1412)of them being anesthesiologists,35.1%(495/1412)being obstetricians,11.8%(167/1412)being midwives,3.7%(52/1412)being labor and delivery nurses,and 6.5%(92/1412)being hospital administrators and unspecified.The study revealed a lack of knowledge in labor pain control.Although 82.4%(1164/1412)of respondents were familiar with labor epidural analgesia,8.9%(126/1412)did not know how it works,and 1.1%(15/1412)never heard it in a multiple-choice question.The three main groups(anesthesiologists,obstetricians,and midwives/labor and delivery nurses)were chosen for comparisons.Opinions among these three groups concerning five questions in the three main concerns were evaluated using a statistical significance of P<0.05.Conclusion:The results in our survey indicated an urgent need of continuing medical education to multidisciplinary specialties to improve evidence-based medical practices as these misconceptions have existed for over 10 years in the medical professionals.Lack of public awareness fueled by misconceptions related to labor epidural analgesia may be associated with a lack of professional knowledge.Correct knowledge in professionals needs to be disseminated to the public in order to dispel possible misconceptions and rumors about labor epidural analgesia.This would not only enhance patient understanding of their care but also improve maternal,fetal,and neonatal outcomes.展开更多

文摘Purpose:This study aimed to develop quality indicators for the care of older adults with disabilities in long-term care facilities(LTCFs)based on Maslow’s hierarchy of needs.Methods:The draft of the quality indicators was drawn up based on a literature review and research group discussion.The quality indicators were finalized by two rounds of expert consultation(involving 15 experts)using the Delphi method.The Analytic Hierarchy Process was applied to calculate the indicators’weight.Results:The response rates of the two rounds of consultation were 100%and 93%,and the expert authority coefficients were 0.86 and 0.87.After two rounds of consultation,the expert opinion coordination coefficients of the first-,second-and third-level indicators were 0.42,0.25,and 0.96,respectively(P<0.05),and the variation coefficient was0.25.The final quality indicators for the care of older adults with disabilities in LTCFs included 7 first-level,19 second-level,and 107 third-level indicators.Conclusion:The quality indicators for the care of older adults with disabilities in LTCFs are reliable,scientific,comprehensive,and practical and specify the content of person-centered care needs.This can provide a reference for evaluating and improving care quality in LTCFs.

文摘Biomass-derived porous carbon with developed pore structure is critical to achieving high performance electrode materials.In this work,we report a grape-based honeycomb-like porous carbon(GHPC)prepared by KOH activation and carbonization,followed by N-doping(NGHPC).The obtained NGHPC exhibits a unique honeycomb-like structure with hierarchically interconnected micro/mesopores,and high specific surface area of 1268 m^2/g.As a supercapacitor electrode,the NGPHC electrode exhibits a remarkable specific capacitance of 275 F/g at 0.5 A/g in a three-electrode cell.Moreover,the NGHPC//NGHPC symmetric supercapacitor displays a high energy density of 12.6 Wh/kg,and excellent cycling stability of approximately 95.2% capacitance retention after 5000 cycles at 5 A/g.The excellent electrochemical performance of NGHPC is ascribed to its high specific surface area,honeycomb-like structure and high-content of pyrodinic-N(36.29%).It is believed that grape-based carbon materials show great potential as advanced electrode materials for supercapacitors.

文摘Protein ubiquitination is essential for diverse cellular functions including spermatogenesis.The tripartite motif(TRIM)family proteins,most of which have E3 ubiquitin ligase activity,are highly conserved in mammals.They are involved in important cellular processes such as embryonic development,immunity,and fertility.Our previous studies indicated that Trim69,a testis-specific expressed TRIM family gene,potentially participates in the spermatogenesis by mediating testicular cells apoptosis.In this study,we investigated the biological functions of Trim69 in male mice by established Trim69 knockout mice with CRISPR/Cas9 genomic editing technology.Here,we reported that the male Trim69 knockout mice had normal fertility.The adult knockout mice have shown that the appearance of testes,testis/body weight ratios,testicular histomorphology,and the number and quality of sperm were consistent with wild-type mice.These results indicated that the E3 ubiquitin ligase protein Trim69 was not essential for male mouse fertility,and it might be compensated by other TRIM family members such as Trim58 in Trim69-deficiency testis.This study would help to elucidate the functions of tripartite motif protein family and the regulation of spermatogenesis.

文摘[Objective]The paper was to establish a method for the determination of cyantraniliprole residue in chewing cane,and analyze the residue and digestion dynamics of cyantraniliprole in chewing cane.[Method]The chewing cane samples were extracted by acetonitrile,purified by improved QuEChERS method,and detected by UPLC/MS/MS.[Result]Cyananseramide showed a good linear relationship in the concentration range of 0.005-0.250 mg/L(R2=0.9991).When the added mass concentration ranged from 0.02 to 0.40 mg/kg,the recovery rates of cyantraniliprole were respectively 83.1%-110.1%for chewing cane leaves and 88.2%-109.2%for chewing cane stems;the relative standard deviations were respectively2.38%-7.98%for chewing cane leaves and 2.26%-3.10%for chewing cane stems.The limit of detection(LOD)in chewing cane was 0.05μg/kg and the limit of quantification(LOQ)was 0.02 mg/kg.The trial results of two chewing cane fields in Guangxi showed that the half-lives of cyantraniliprole in chewing cane leaves were 7.76 and 6.12 d,respectively,and the correlation coefficients were 0.9570 and 0.9241,respectively.[Conclusion]The method is sensitive,accurate,simple and rapid,and it can be used to determine the residue and half-life of cyantraniliprole in chewing cane.The results will provide technical support for the safe use of cyantraniliprole in chewing cane.

文摘Background Major infectious disease has become a serious threat to people’s health worldwide.As the world’s largest healthcare workforce and the core forces fighting against the epidemic,nurses are on the frontline of this battle.A number of ethical issues have given rise to numerous concerns that have largely affected nurses in different ways as they respond to the epidemic.In addition,excessive expectations from people can exert undue pressure,which can easily lead to burnout in nurses.Methods In this consensus,the expert panel method was used to develop and reach a consensus.The members involved in the formation of the consensus included an expert discussion panel and a consensus writing expert group,a methodologist,and four secretaries.After 16 rounds of online expert consultation and two rounds of expert panel meetings,the writing team analyzed and reviewed the 78 amendments suggested by the experts to develop a consensus on nursing ethics for prevention and control of major infectious disease outbreaks based on the ethical vision of life care.Results This expert consensus focuses on five essential domains:the responsibilities and rights of nurses,the nurse-patient relationship,the doctor-nurse relationship,and the relationship between society and nurses throughout the epidemic.Conclusions We hope this consensus can help nurses better understand and respond to the ethical issues and challenges in public health emergencies,and raise reasonable public expectations of the roles and responsibilities of nurses in these situations.

文摘Urban tunnels are generally narrow and fire smoke can hardly diffuse.In the present study,numerical simulation is used to analyze the diffusion of high temperature smoke produced by fire inside a specific tunnel(the Kaiyuan tunnel).The results are compared with similar data relating to other tests to determine the validity of the numerical method.Moreover,the critical velocity obtained by numerical simulation of 5 MW,20 MW,and 50 MW fires in curved and linear sections of the considered tunnel is compared with the values obtained using empirical formulas.The results show that,for the tunnel ventilation design,it is necessary to consider the fan pressurization at different sections and the fan pressurization should be higher at curved sections than that at linear sections.The safety of personnel escaping under different critical velocity values in the linear section has also been considered.On the basis of our findings,if only relying on natural ventilation,people can escape safely for the case of small fires,whereas for medium and large fires,it is necessary to turn on mechanical ventilation in time(and in order to avoid the danger caused by rapid diffusion of smoke,the timing of mechanical ventilation should be carefully tuned).

文摘Background:Preclinical studies have indicated that Angong Niuhuang Pills(ANP)reduce cerebral infarct and edema volumes.This study aimed to investigate whether ANP safely reduces cerebral infarct and edema volumes in patients with moderate to severe acute ischemic stroke.Methods:This randomized,double-blind,placebo-controlled pilot trial included patients with acute ischemic stroke with National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale(NIHSS)scores ranging from 10 to 20 in 17 centers in China between April 2021 and July 2022.Patients were allocated within 36 h after onset via block randomization to receive ANP or placebo(3 g/day for 5 days).The primary outcomes were changes in cerebral infarct and edema volumes after 14 days of treatment.The primary safety outcome was severe adverse events(SAEs)for 90 days.Results:There were 57 and 60 patients finally included in the ANP and placebo groups,respectively for modified intention-to-treat analysis.The median age was 66.0 years,and the median NIHSS score at baseline was 12.0.The changes in cerebral infarct volume at day 14 were 0.3 mL and 0.4 mL in the ANP and placebo groups,respectively(median difference:-7.1 mL;interquartile range[IQR]:-18.3 to 2.3 mL,P=0.30).The changes in cerebral edema volume of the ANP and placebo groups on day 14 were 11.4 mL and 4.0 mL,respectively(median difference:3.0 mL,IQR:-1.3 to 9.9 mL,P=0.15).The rates of SAE within 90 days were similar in the ANP(3/57,5%)and placebo(7/60,12%)groups(P=0.36).Changes in serum mercury and arsenic concentrations were comparable.In patients with large artery atherosclerosis,ANP reduced the cerebral infarct volume at 14 days(median difference:-12.3 mL;IQR:-27.7 to-0.3 mL,P=0.03).Conclusions:ANP showed a similar safety profile to placebo and non-significant tendency to reduce cerebral infarct volume in patients with moderate-to-severe stroke.Further studies are warranted to assess the efficacy of ANP in reducing cerebral infarcts and improving clinical prognosis.Trail Registration:Clinicaltrials.gov,No.NCT04475328.

文摘The Jiangmen Underground Neutrino Observatory(JUNO)features a 20 kt multi-purpose underground liquid scintillator sphere as its main detector.Some of JUNO's features make it an excellent location for^8B solar neutrino measurements,such as its low-energy threshold,high energy resolution compared with water Cherenkov detectors,and much larger target mass compared with previous liquid scintillator detectors.In this paper,we present a comprehensive assessment of JUNO's potential for detecting^8B solar neutrinos via the neutrino-electron elastic scattering process.A reduced 2 MeV threshold for the recoil electron energy is found to be achievable,assuming that the intrinsic radioactive background^(238)U and^(232)Th in the liquid scintillator can be controlled to 10^(-17)g/g.With ten years of data acquisition,approximately 60,000 signal and 30,000 background events are expected.This large sample will enable an examination of the distortion of the recoil electron spectrum that is dominated by the neutrino flavor transformation in the dense solar matter,which will shed new light on the inconsistency between the measured electron spectra and the predictions of the standard three-flavor neutrino oscillation framework.IfDelta m^(2)_(21)=4.8times10^(-5);(7.5times10^(-5))eV^(2),JUNO can provide evidence of neutrino oscillation in the Earth at approximately the 3sigma(2sigma)level by measuring the non-zero signal rate variation with respect to the solar zenith angle.Moreover,JUNO can simultaneously measureDelta m^2_(21)using^8B solar neutrinos to a precision of 20% or better,depending on the central value,and to sub-percent precision using reactor antineutrinos.A comparison of these two measurements from the same detector will help understand the current mild inconsistency between the value of Delta m^2_(21)reported by solar neutrino experiments and the KamLAND experiment.

文摘This study has developed a novel sensing platform for the investigation of cell oxygen metabolism.With chitosan@TiO_(2) nanocomposites as supporting matrix which was decorated on the surface of indium tin oxide glass,it can effectively absorb A549 cells and sensitize the electrochemiluminescence(ECL)of luminol.On this platform,the ECL output is dependent on the level of reactive oxygen species(ROSs),which was evidenced by the intervening of resveratrol,a typical ROSs’scavenger.The results indicated that the ECL signal was quenched by the resveratrol within its concentration range from 0.10 nM to 2.97μM.Thus,it is believable that the ECL of luminol sensitively responded upon oxygenic matters on this living cell platform would be powerful for cell oxygen metabolism monitoring.

文摘JUNO is a multi-purpose neutrino observatory under construction in the south of China.This publication presents new sensitivity estimates for the measurement of the △m_(31)^(2),△m_(21)^(2),sin^(2)θ_(12),and sin^(2)θ_(13) oscillation parameters using reactor antineutrinos,which is one of the primary physics goals of the experiment.The sensitivities are obtained using the best knowledge available to date on the location and overburden of the experimental site,the nuclear reactors in the surrounding area and beyond,the detector response uncertainties,and the reactor antineutrino spectral shape constraints expected from the TAO satellite detector.It is found that the △m_(21)^(2) and sin^(2)θ_(12) oscillation parameters will be determined to 0.5%precision or better in six years of data collection.In the same period,the △m_(31)^(2) parameter will be determined to about 0.2%precision for each mass ordering hypothesis.The new precision represents approximately an order of magnitude improvement over existing constraints for these three parameters.

文摘Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2)infection can lead to respiratory illness and multi-organ failure in critically ill patients.Although the virus-induced lung damage and inflammatory cytokine storm are believed to be directly associated with coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)clinical manifestations,the underlying mechanisms of virus-triggered inflammatory responses are currently unknown.Here we report that SARS-CoV-2 infection activates caspase-8 to trigger cell apoptosis and inflammatory cytokine processing in the lung epithelial cells.The processed inflammatory cytokines are released through the virus-induced necroptosis pathway.Virus-induced apoptosis,necroptosis,and inflammation activation were also observed in the lung sections of SARS-CoV-2-infected HFH4-hACE2 transgenic mouse model,a valid model for studying SARS-CoV-2 pathogenesis.Furthermore,analysis of the postmortem lung sections of fatal COVID-19 patients revealed not only apoptosis and necroptosis but also massive inflammatory cell infiltration,necrotic cell debris,and pulmonary interstitial fibrosis,typical of immune pathogenesis in the lung.The SARS-CoV-2 infection triggered a dual mode of cell death pathways and caspase-8-dependent inflammatory responses may lead to the lung damage in the COVID-19 patients.These discoveries might assist the development of therapeutic strategies to treat COVID-19.

文摘Increases in recorded high temperatures around the world are causing plant thermomorphogenesis and decreasing crop productivity.PHYTOCHROME INTERACTING FACTOR 4(PIF4)is a central positive regulator of plant thermomorphogenesis.However,the molecular mechanisms underlying PIF4-regulated thermomorphogenesis remain largely unclear.In this study,we identified ABNORMAL THERMOMORPHOGENESIS 1(ABT1)as an important negative regulator of PIF4 and plant thermomorphogenesis.Overexpression of ABT1 in the activation tagging mutant abt1-D caused shorter hypocotyls and petioles under moderately high temperature(HT).ABT1 encodes WRKY14,which belongs to subgroup II of the WRKY transcription factors.Overexpression of ABT1/WRKY14 or its close homologs,including ABT2/WRKY35,ABT3/WRKY65,and ABT4/WRKY69in transgenic plants caused insensitivity to HT,whereas the quadruple mutant abt1 abt2 abt3 abt4 exhibited greater sensitivity to HT.ABTs were expressed in hypocotyls,cotyledons,shoot apical meristems,and leaves,but their expression were suppressed by HT.Biochemical assays showed that ABT1 can interact with TCP5,a known positive regulator of PIF4,and interrupt the formation of the TCP5-PIF4 complex and repress its transcriptional activation activity.Genetic analysis showed that ABT1 functioned antagonistically with TCP5,BZR1,and PIF4 in plant thermomorphogenesis.Taken together,our results identify ABT1/WRKY14 as a critical repressor of plant thermomorphogenesis and suggest that ABT1/WRKY14,TCP5,and PIF4 may form a sophisticated regulatory module to fine-tune PIF4 activity and temperature-dependent plant growth.

文摘The Jiangmen Underground Neutrino Observatory(JUNO)is a large liquid scintillator detector designed to explore many topics in fundamental physics.In this study,the potential of searching for proton decay in the p→νK^(+)mode with JUNO is investigated.The kaon and its decay particles feature a clear three-fold coincidence signature that results in a high efficiency for identification.Moreover,the excellent energy resolution of JUNO permits suppression of the sizable background caused by other delayed signals.Based on these advantages,the detection efficiency for the proton decay via p→νK^(+)is 36.9%±4.9%with a background level of 0.2±0.05(syst)±0.2(stat)events after 10 years of data collection.The estimated sensitivity based on 200 kton-years of exposure is 9.6×1033 years,which is competitive with the current best limits on the proton lifetime in this channel and complements the use of different detection technologies.

文摘The effect of sintering temperature on thermoelectric properties of CdO ceramics was investigated by solid-state reaction method within the temperature range of 700-1000℃.With the increase of sintering temperature,both the grain size and the carrier concentration of these samples increased,while the Seebeck coefficient decreased.The highest dimensionless figure of merit ZT,0.34,was obtained at 1023 K for the sample sintered at 800℃,suggesting the potential application of CdO ceramics in thermoelectric(TE)devices.
文摘Objective:This survey was designed to understand the misconceptions about labor epidurals.Methods:This voluntary and anonymous online survey on wenjuan.com was conducted from September 1st,2015 to January 1st,2016 via mainly WeChat groups dedicated to perinatal healthcare providers in China.The questionnaire included items inquiring the knowledge and opinions about labor epidural analgesia related to maternal complications,baby safety,and effect on laboring.Incomplete surveys were excluded from the data analysis.The data was presented as percentages and a Chi-square test or Fisher's exact test,as appreciate,was used to quantitatively compare the results.Results:A total of 1412 respondents completed surveys with 42.9%(606/1412)of them being anesthesiologists,35.1%(495/1412)being obstetricians,11.8%(167/1412)being midwives,3.7%(52/1412)being labor and delivery nurses,and 6.5%(92/1412)being hospital administrators and unspecified.The study revealed a lack of knowledge in labor pain control.Although 82.4%(1164/1412)of respondents were familiar with labor epidural analgesia,8.9%(126/1412)did not know how it works,and 1.1%(15/1412)never heard it in a multiple-choice question.The three main groups(anesthesiologists,obstetricians,and midwives/labor and delivery nurses)were chosen for comparisons.Opinions among these three groups concerning five questions in the three main concerns were evaluated using a statistical significance of P<0.05.Conclusion:The results in our survey indicated an urgent need of continuing medical education to multidisciplinary specialties to improve evidence-based medical practices as these misconceptions have existed for over 10 years in the medical professionals.Lack of public awareness fueled by misconceptions related to labor epidural analgesia may be associated with a lack of professional knowledge.Correct knowledge in professionals needs to be disseminated to the public in order to dispel possible misconceptions and rumors about labor epidural analgesia.This would not only enhance patient understanding of their care but also improve maternal,fetal,and neonatal outcomes.
