Research on static and dynamic comprehensive evaluation of urban agglomeration road network integration based on catastrophe theory

The integration of urban agglomeration road networks is an inevitable trend of regional development.It is very important to build a scientific and reasonable evaluation system for the integration of urban agglomeration road networks.The existing research may not be sufficient to evaluate the road network level reliably if the city unit in the region is not considered enough.It is necessary to evaluate the level of road network integration from a dynamic perspective,in consideration of the economic scale of urban population and the level of road network in developing countries such as China is in the stage of rapid development.Therefore,this paper constructs an analytic hierarchy process(AHP)-catastrophe progression method evaluation model by considering the equilibrium degree and the fitness degree of urban unit road network.This evaluation model combines the integration of road network quantity,shape,and quality to evaluate the level of urban agglomeration road network integration from dynamic and static ways.Taking Beijing—Tianjin—Hebei urban agglomeration and Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration as examples,this paper uses the road network data of urban agglomerations in 2010,2015,and2020 to make a comparative study.The results show that the growing trend of Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration is at a high level by 2020,while the trend of Beijing—Tianjin—Hebei urban agglomeration is at a general level.Compared with the previous evaluation models,this evaluation method has a good explanation and can emphasize the consideration of dynamic evaluation.The research results annotate the current situation of road network integration of Beijing—Tianjin—Hebei and Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration that can satisfy the requirement of urban agglomeration development.And it provides decision-making reference for further optimizing of the road network planning and layout of urban agglomeration. 展开更多

The imbalance of rural parking supply and demand has a great impact on traffic congestion and environmental pollution,which has attracted the attention of many scholars as well as policymakers.However,most of the current research on parking choice focuses on urban business and residential areas rather than on rural parking choice behaviour,and focuses on the analysis of observable factors,ignoring the internal relationship with potential variables.This study considers the heterogeneity of individuals and uses the random forest(RF)algorithm to construct a model of rural residents’willingness to choose parking with both latent and explicit variables,to explore how much and in what ways individual characteristics and parking characteristics affect rural residents’parking choices,and to explore parking planning programmes and strategies that are truly applicable to rural areas.The results of the study suggest that the safety and convenience of the parking environment are key factors influencing the parking choice behaviour of rural residents,and can greatly improve the predictive accuracy of the parking willingness model.Upon comparison,it is found that the application of the RF algorithm is also significantly better than the logit model in terms of prediction effect,indicating that there is a nonlinear effect among the factors influencing the parking choice behaviour of rural residents and that the RF model with the addition of latent variables provides a better explanatory ability for the study of the parking choice behaviour of rural residents. 展开更多

The efficiency of post-disaster relief operations is impacted by the design of the emergency supply networks in the earthquake preparedness phase.This paper proposes a bi-objective mixed integer programming model to improve the preparedness of the emergency supply network.The maximization of connectivity reliability and relief is taken as the objective function as the design perspectives were inclined towards prioritizing human survival over cost.The number and location of storage points,the preset level and the prematching of demand nodes with their supply storage points are determined based on this.Then,applicability is evaluated through numerical examples,and critical parameters are demonstrated by sensitivity analysis.Finally,practicality is evaluated through practical examples.The results demonstrate that the method in this paper designs an emergency supply network with high reliability and relief level.The reliability of the supply network is improved by 42.3%and the rescue level reaches 96.6%compared with the preoptimization period.Results may provide theoretical support for urban pre-earthquake preparedness and can help traffic planners and local governments formulate better earthquake prevention strategies. 展开更多

Impacts of characteristics of service facilities in metro station area on housing prices

Transit-oriented development is extensively employed for the development of metro stations.Service facilities are key components of the regional built environment of metro stations,and the arrangement and design of these facilities significantly impact regional economic efficiency,particularly housing prices.Data from Tianjin,China are analyzed using the gradient boosting decision tree model to explore the impacts of service facilities on housing prices at various operational stages.The results showed that:(1)the development of metro stations encourages the evolution of housing prices and service facilities,and there is a more pronounced concentration effect of service facility allocation intensity on the urban central circle;(2)the characteristics of service facilities in metro station areas have a nonlinear effect and threshold effect on housing prices;(3)the gradient boosting decision tree model explains a premium effect,which is better than the ordinary least square model;(4)kernel the density is the most significant,and affects housing prices,with per capita quantity decreasing as diversity increases over time.The results encourage government departments to enhance the construction of improved rail transit links and to optimize public service facilities in station areas. 展开更多

The identification of accident black spots is of great significance for the prevention of traffic accidents.Commonly used accident black spot identification methods divide road sections for the analysis of accident data,the direct result of which is the splitting of accident black spots,which affects the results.This paper is based on three years of traffic accident data from the Beijing-Harbin Expressway,including the time and location of traffic accidents,form of the accident fatalities,severe injuries,slight injuries,and property damage only(PDO).To avoid road division effects,an identification method based on the accident spacing distribution is established by using quality control theory.The results show that the average number of accidents per kilometer by the method proposed in this paper is 42,which is much higher than 10,identified by other identification methods.The method proposed in this paper improves the accuracy of the identification results.This method avoids the problem of road segmentation found in other common methods and can more accurately reflect the spatial distribution of traffic accidents.Thus making the identification of accidents more scientific and accurate. 展开更多

The construction of rural transportation infrastructure is of great significance to promote the organic integration of transportation construction with resource exploitation and industrial development in rural areas,and realize poverty alleviation and poverty reduction driven by convenient transportation.In order to understand the research status of rural transport infrastructure at home and abroad,this paper adopts CiteSpace,VOSviewer,Pajek,SPSS and other software and makes quantitative analysis and knowledge map drawing of the literature on rural transportation infrastructure collected in Web of Science database.The results show that the emphasis of this field is different in different periods,Chinese scholars'attention to this field increased significantly after the rural revitalization strategy was put forward.Based on the classification results of keyword clustering,the following conclusions are drawn:The planning mode of rural transportation infrastructure under rural revitalization is relatively backward and the lack of theoretical analysis of the root causes has achieved the purpose of rational allocation of transportation resources.Moreover,there are few studies on the mechanism and empirical analysis of transport infrastructure's effect on rural poverty reduction.From the analysis of research hotspots,the integration of urban and rural areas and rural road safety will be the main research direction in the future,and rural road accidents and other topics have research potential. 展开更多
