Objective:To evaluate the effectiveness of two doses of coenzyme Q10(CoQ10)on semen parameters,sperm DNA damage,and the partner pregnancy rate in men with idiopathic oligoasthenozoospermia.Methods:250 patients with id...Objective:To evaluate the effectiveness of two doses of coenzyme Q10(CoQ10)on semen parameters,sperm DNA damage,and the partner pregnancy rate in men with idiopathic oligoasthenozoospermia.Methods:250 patients with idiopathic oligoasthenozoospermia were examined.The first group(n=125)received 100 mg/day of CoQ10 and the second group(n=125)received 200 mg/day of CoQ10 orally for 6 months.Semen parameters,DNA fragmentation index(DFI)and the partner pregnancy rate were analyzed at baseline and after 6 months of treatment.Results:Comparing with baseline data,treatment with CoQ10(100 mg/day or 200 mg/day)resulted in a significant increase in sperm concentration(both P<0.001),a significant improvement in progressive motility and total motile sperm count(P=0.05,P=0.001,respectively).The mean DFI was significantly improved after treatment with CoQ10 at 100 mg/day and at 200 mg/day,after 6 months of treatment(P<0.01).Moreover,CoQ10 significantly improved the partner pregnancy rate.A strongest correlation was found between seminal fluid parameters and DFI(P<0.001).Conclusions:CoQ10 is effective in improving semen parameters,DFI and on the partner pregnancy rate after 6 months with CoQ10 at two doses,with a greater improvement shown in men who took 200 mg/day than in those who took 100 mg/day.展开更多

Ovarian its location is exceptional. We report a patient of 20 years, the originalNorth Africawho consulted for an increase in abdominal volume with impaired general condition. Pelvic ultrasonography and computed tomography were in favor of multiple peritoneal masses with ascites. After surgical exploration, the histological and immunohistochemical data for diagnosis small round cell desmoplastic tumor of ovarian the patient was a candidate for poly chemotherapy but she was died a month later. Diagnosis relies on histological and immunohistochemical data. The demonstration of a nonrandom translocation t (11;22) (p13;q12) is specific for the disease. The management is multidisciplinary and combining surgery, a poly aggressive chemotherapy and radiotherapy. The prognosis remains poor.展开更多

They are often due to the obstetric trau...Objective: The recto-vaginal fistula is an abnormal communication between the previous wall of the rectum and the posterior face of the vagina through the recto-vaginal septum. They are often due to the obstetric traumas and they can be of post-surgical origin. Methods: We report five cases of patients with obstetric recto-vaginal fistula and all of the patients have surgical intervention with a resection of the fistulous route and rectal wall. Results: The patient did not present any recidivating and the evolution is satisfactory without complications or recidivating. Conclusion: The treatment of recto-vaginal fistula is often difficult exposed to recurrence;and the therapeutic indications must be adapted to every type of fistula by taking into account its size, its location and its etiology.展开更多

This patient referred for abdomino-pelvic mass suspected clinically and sonographically. Exploratory laparotomy was performed with the presence of two latero-uterine mass adherents to the highly vascularised uterus and difficult to resects deep plane with a mass left hepatic bleeding. A biopsy of both masses was performed and histological examination with immunehistochemical study returned for a primary ovarian non-gestational choriocarcinoma and the patient received 4 cycles of chemotherapy after hepatic artery embolization with good clinical, biological and radiological evaluation.展开更多
