The Longgang volcanic cluster located in Jilin Province belongs to one of the active volcanic regions in northeast China, and has been active in modern times. In view of the multiple eruptions in history, it is very important to determine the age of each eruption for evaluating the volcanic hazards. Two alkaline basalt samples taken from Dayizishan and Diaoshuihu were analyzed with the U-series component dating after magnetic separation. The ages of the two samples are (71±9) ka and (106±13) ka B.P., respectively. These data indicate that there existed intensive eruption activities during the late Pleistocene. 展开更多

Basaltic samples from different locations in Aershan area determined by instrumental neutron activation analysis (INAA) have the same distribution patterns of REE and trace elements. The similar REE contents of the same minerals without inclusions from different xenolith suggest that the mantle source region under different active volcanoes have the same composition. The REE content differences between the same minerals with and without melt inclusions selected from the same mantle xenolith indicate that the melt inclusions are rich in REE. The same patterns of trace elements of inclusions and host minerals from different xenolith analyzed by SRXRF suggest that the mantle fluid has no notable heterogeneity in Aershan area. 展开更多

Local slope deformation and destruction are the beginning of the formation of collapse, landslide and debris flow. For the evaluation of slope stability, it is the purpose of this evaluation to distinguish unstable, unstable, basically stable and stable slopes in the town area of Taoyuan Township. Combined with field ground investigation and remote sensing images, the data of soil thickness, stratum lithology, terrain slope, slope structure type, regional rainfall, geological structure, human activities and slope height of each slope are collected, and the slope stability evaluation is carried out for rocky slopes and soil slopes. The expert consultation method is used to assign weight and grade assignment to each factor, and the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method is used to evaluate the stability of 95 natural slopes divided by Taoyuan Township. Based on the evaluation results, the slope stability zoning map of the study area is drawn, and the regional slope stability distribution law is summarized. The evaluation results can provide basic information for local geological disaster management, urban planning, road planning, etc. 展开更多
