In this study,the effects of different salinity gradients and addition of compatible solutes on anaerobic treated effluent water qualities,sludge characteristics and microbial communities were investigated.The increas...In this study,the effects of different salinity gradients and addition of compatible solutes on anaerobic treated effluent water qualities,sludge characteristics and microbial communities were investigated.The increase in salinity resulted in a decrease in particle size of the granular sludge,which was concentrated in the range of 0.5-1.0 mm.The content of EPS(extracellular polymeric substances)in the granular sludge gradually increased with increasing salinity and the addition of betaine(a typical compatible solute).Meanwhile,the microbial community structure was significantly affected by salinity,with high salinity reducing the diversity of bacteria.At higher salinity,Patescibacteria and Proteobacteria gradually became the dominant phylum,with relative abundance increasing to 13.53%and 12.16%at 20 g/L salinity.Desulfobacterota and its subordinate Desulfovibrio,which secrete EPS in large quantities,dominated significantly after betaine addition.Their relative abundance reached 13.65%and 7.86%at phylum level and genus level.The effect of these changes on the treated effluent was shown as the average chemical oxygen demand(COD)removal rate decreased from 82.10%to 79.71%,78.01%,68.51%and 64.55%when the salinity gradually increased from 2 g/L to 6,10,16 and 20 g/L.At the salinity of 20 g/L,average COD removal increased to 71.65%by the addition of 2 mmol/L betaine.The gradient elevated salinity and the exogenous addition of betaine played an important role in achieving stability of the anaerobic system in a highly saline environment,which provided a feasible strategy for anaerobic treatment of organic saline wastewater.展开更多

The lithium(Li) metal anode is an integral component in an emerging high-energy-density rechargeable battery.A composite Li anode with a three-dimensional(3 D) host exhibits unique advantages in suppressing Li dendrit...The lithium(Li) metal anode is an integral component in an emerging high-energy-density rechargeable battery.A composite Li anode with a three-dimensional(3 D) host exhibits unique advantages in suppressing Li dendrites and maintaining dimensional stability.However,the fundamental understanding and regulation of solid electrolyte interphase(SEI),which directly dictates the behavior of Li plating/stripping,are rarely researched in composite Li metal anodes.Herein,the interaction between a polar polymer host and solvent molecules was proposed as an emerging but effective strategy to enable a stable SEI and a uniform Li deposition in a working battery.Fluoroethylene carbonate molecules in electrolytes are enriched in the vicinity of a polar polyacrylonitrile(PAN) host due to a strong dipole-dipole interaction,resulting in a LiF-rich SEI on Li metal to improve the uniformity of Li deposition.A composite Li anode with a PAN host delivers 145 cycles compared with 90 cycles when a non-polar host is employed.Moreover,60 cycles are demonstrated in a 1:0 Ah pouch cell without external pressure.This work provides a fresh guidance for designing practical composite Li anodes by unraveling the vital role of the synergy between a 3 D host and solvent molecules for regulating a robust SEI.展开更多
Coronaviruses(CoVs)are important human and animal pathogens that cause respiratory and gastrointestinal diseases.Porcine epidemic diarrhoea(PED),characterized by severe diarrhoea and vomiting in pigs,is a highly letha...Coronaviruses(CoVs)are important human and animal pathogens that cause respiratory and gastrointestinal diseases.Porcine epidemic diarrhoea(PED),characterized by severe diarrhoea and vomiting in pigs,is a highly lethal disease caused by porcine epidemic diarrhoea virus(PEDV)and causes substantial losses in the swine industry worldwide.However,currently available commercial drugs have not shown great therapeutic effects.In this study,a fluorescence resonance energy transfer(FRET)-based assay was applied to screen a library containing 1,590 compounds and identified two compounds,3-(aminocarbonyl)-1-phenylpyridinium and 2,3-dichloronaphthoquinone,that target the 3C-like protease(3CL^(pro))of PEDV.These compounds are of low molecular weight(MW)and greatly inhibited the activity of this enzyme(IC_(50) values were obtained in this study).Furthermore,these compounds exhibited antiviral capacity against another member of the CoV family,feline infectious peritonitis virus(FIPV).Here,the inhibitory effects of these compounds against CoVs on Vero cells and feline kidney cells were identified(with EC_(50) values)and cell viability assays were performed.The results of putative molecular docking models indicate that these compounds,labeled compound 1 and compound 2,contact the conserved active sites(Cys144,Glu165,Gln191)of 3CL^(pro) via hydrogen bonds.These findings provide insight into the antiviral activities of compounds 1 and 2 that may facilitate future research on anti-CoV drugs.展开更多
Low-power laser therapy has been used for the non-surgical treatment of mild to moderate carpal tunnel syndrome,although its efficacy has been a long-standing controversy.The laser parameters in low-power laser therap...Low-power laser therapy has been used for the non-surgical treatment of mild to moderate carpal tunnel syndrome,although its efficacy has been a long-standing controversy.The laser parameters in low-power laser therapy are closely related to the laser effect on human tissue.To evaluate the efficacy of low-power laser therapy,laser parameters should be accurately measured and controlled,which has been ignored in previous clinical trials.Here,we report the measurement of the effective optical power of low-power laser therapy for carpal tunnel syndrome.By monitoring the backside reflection and scattering laser power from human skin at the wrist,the effective laser power can be inferred.Using clinical measurements from 30 cases,we found that the effective laser power differed significantly among cases,with the measured laser reflection coefficient ranging from 1.8% to 54%.The reflection coefficient for 36.7% of these 30 cases was in the range of 10–20%,but for 16.7% of cases,it was higher than 40%.Consequently,monitoring the effective optical power during laser irradiation is necessary for the laser therapy of carpal tunnel syndrome.展开更多

Different coronaviruses interact with their specific receptors to enter host cells. Lentiviruses pseudotyped with their spike proteins(S) were compared to analyze the entry efficiency of various coronaviruses. Our results indicated that S proteins from different coronaviruses displayed varied abilities to mediate pseudotyped virus infection. Furthermore, the cell tropisms of porcine epidemic diarrhea virus(PEDV) and transmissible gastroenteritis virus(TGEV) have been characterized by live and pseudotyped viruses. Both live and pseudoviruses could infected VeroCCL-81(monkey kidney), Huh-7(human liver), and PK-15(pig kidney) cells efficiently. CCL94(cat kidney) cells could be infected efficiently by TGEV but not PEDV. Overall, our study provides new insights into the mechanisms of viral entry and forms a basis for antiviral drug screening.展开更多
Metal organic frameworks(MOFs) are a kind of promising materials in many applications,while the fast and controllable synthesis of MOFs is still challenging.Here,taking HKUST-1 as illustration,a microplasma electroche...Metal organic frameworks(MOFs) are a kind of promising materials in many applications,while the fast and controllable synthesis of MOFs is still challenging.Here,taking HKUST-1 as illustration,a microplasma electrochemistry(MIPEC) strategy was developed to accelerate the synthesis process of MOFs with micro-plasma acting as cathode.Treating the HKUST-1 precursor solution with micro-plasma cathode could not only transfer the electrons into the solution leading to the deprotonation effect,but also generate radical species to trigger and accelerate the nucleation and growth of MOFs at the plasmaliquid interface.Thus,uniform and nanosize MOFs could be prepared within minutes.The obtained MOFs show similar excellent uranium adsorption properties compared with those obtained by other method,with a highly adsorption capability of uranium with 550 mg/g in minutes.The novel MIPEC strategy developed in this work provides an alternative for controllable synthesis of MOFs,and especially has potential application in accelerating traditional organic synthesis.展开更多

The observation group was treated with traditional Chinese medicine combined with warm acupuncture and moxibustion, and the control group was treated with western medicine. Results: After 7 days tr eatment, the re was significant diffe rence in cure r ate and total effective rate between the two groups (P < 0.01), and the treatment group was obviously superior to the control group. Conclusion: Traditional Chinese medicine combined with warm acupuncture is effective in the treatment of postoperative gastroparesis of gastric cancer.展开更多

Developing polymeric adsorbents for uranium harvesting from high-salinity environments remains a daunting challenge due to the‘polyelectrolyte effect’-induced conformational collapse compromising the ligand availabi...Developing polymeric adsorbents for uranium harvesting from high-salinity environments remains a daunting challenge due to the‘polyelectrolyte effect’-induced conformational collapse compromising the ligand availability.A catalyst-free,visible light-controlled radical polymerization has been presented here for the tailor-made synthesis of zwitterionic block copolymers(BCPs)bearing uranophilic ligands.The novel anti-polyelectrolyte uranium harvesters exhibited significant salinity resistance.The facile and robust photosynthetic strategy offers a significantly high monomer conversion(α>95%)that facilitates“one-pot”chain extension to develop the BCPs.Metal catalyst residues,as found in conventional controlled radical polymerizations,are avoided and promoted to synthesize fascinating polymeric materials.We also highlight the first study,by integrating computational modeling with QCM-D analysis,on the interplay between polymer conformational dynamics and chemical adsorption behaviors.With zwitterionic polymer segments as conformational regulators,the BCPs exhibit remarkable‘anti-polyelectrolyte effect’by maintaining stretched conformations in saline solutions.Improved ligand accessibility and promotion of diffusional mass transfer are achieved,enabling a high adsorption capacity toward uranium with remarkably fast kinetics in spiked natural seawater and salt lake brines.展开更多
The performance of organic electrochemical transistors(OECTs)relies on the interaction between organic semiconductors and ions.Consequently,hydrophilic ethylene glycol(EG)side chains are incorporated into organic semi...The performance of organic electrochemical transistors(OECTs)relies on the interaction between organic semiconductors and ions.Consequently,hydrophilic ethylene glycol(EG)side chains are incorporated into organic semiconductors to improve the channel’s capacity to absorb ions.However,the EG substituted organic semiconductors tend to swell when immersed in aqueous electrolytes and exhibit microstructural changes induced by dopant ions.In our research,we introduce an alkyl spacer to create distance between the fullerene and EG chain.This approach is designed to reduce the negative effects of swelling and balance the ion and electron conduction.We conducted an analysis of OECTs using four fullerene derivatives:no alkyl spacer,butyl,hexyl,and octyl spacers.The OECTs based on fullerene derivatives with butyl and hexyl spacers exhibit enhanced transconductance(g_(m)=11.8 and 19.4 mS)compared to the ones without alkyl spacers.It has also been observed that the butyl and hexyl spacers lead to a more than tenfold increase in volumetric capacitance.Further increasing the alkyl spacer(octyl group)leads to no transistor behavior.Our study uncovers the relationship between alkyl spacers and the performance of OECTs based on fullerene derivatives.This will serve as a guideline for designing n-type small molecules for OECTs.Finally,we showcased the potential of utilizing OECTs based on these fullerene derivatives in cation sensing,which is promising for developing sweat sensors.展开更多
Nonconventional fluorescent materials,which are nonaromatic or consist of isolated aromatic systems,have attracted extensive attention because of their aggregation-induced emission properties.The mechanism of nonconve...Nonconventional fluorescent materials,which are nonaromatic or consist of isolated aromatic systems,have attracted extensive attention because of their aggregation-induced emission properties.The mechanism of nonconventional fluorescence remains incompletely understood,hindering the prediction and modulation of its emission color.Achieving full-color tunability in such systems,particularly within elastomers,is highly challenging.Herein,fluorescent cross-linked polysiloxanes are synthesized using aliphatic amino-terminated polysiloxane and glutaraldehyde,exhibiting full-color emission that can be continuously tuned through thermal treatments within a single material system.Thermal treatment of cross-linked polysiloxanes enables precise control over the structural evolution of fluorophores from imines to 3-(2-piperidyl)pyridinium derivatives and their aggregation states.It enables the continuous and wide-range modulation of the emission color.Additionally,the intramolecular and intermolecular charge transfers of the novel unconventional fluorophore,3-(2-piperidyl)pyridinium derivatives,have been identified,which are of great significance for aggregation-induced bathochromic fluorescence.Prepared from all commercial chemicals,these cross-linked polysiloxanes show great potential for large-scale production and applications,especially as flexible fluorescent light-conversion layers and solvent-responsive smart materials.Furthermore,our research is expected to inspire the innovation of unconventional fluorophores in multiple dimensions.展开更多
This work reports a de novo synthesis of novel bifunctional conjugated microporous polymers(CMPs)exhibiting a synergistic-effect involved coordination behavior to uranium.It is highlighted that the synthetic strategy ...This work reports a de novo synthesis of novel bifunctional conjugated microporous polymers(CMPs)exhibiting a synergistic-effect involved coordination behavior to uranium.It is highlighted that the synthetic strategy enables the engineering of the coordination environment within amidoxime functionalized CMP frameworks by specifically introducing ortho-substituted amino functionalities,enhancing the affinity to uranyl ions via forming synergistic complexes.The CMPs exhibit high Brunauer-Emmett-Teller(BET)surface area,well-developed three-dimensional(3D)networks with hierarchical porosity,and favorable chemical and thermal stability because of the covalently cross-linked structure.Compared with the amino-free counterparts,the adsorption capacity of bifunctional CMPs was increased by almost 70%,from 105 to 174 mg/g,indicating evidently enhanced binding ability to uranium.Moreover,new insights into coordination mechanism were obtained by in-depth X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS)analysis and density functional theory(DFT)calculation,suggesting a dominant role of the oxime ligands forming a 1:1 metal ions/ligands(M/L)coordination model with uranyl ions while demonstrating the synergistic engagement of the amino functionalities via direct binding to uranium center and hydrogen-bonding involved secondary-sphere interaction.This work sheds light on the underlying principles of ortho-substituted functionalities directed synergistic effect to promote the coordination of amidoxime with uranyl ions.And the synthetic strategy established here would enable the task-specific development of more novel CMP-based functional materials for broadened applications.展开更多
Background:The N400 component of event-related potentials (ERP) has recently drawn widespread attention at home and abroad.This study was to explore the relationship between N400 changes and risperidone treatment a...Background:The N400 component of event-related potentials (ERP) has recently drawn widespread attention at home and abroad.This study was to explore the relationship between N400 changes and risperidone treatment and rehabilitation in first-episode schizophrenia (FES).Methods:ERP component N400 was recorded by Guangzhou Runjie W J-l ERP instruments,in 58 FES before and 6 months,15 months after risperidone treatment,and in 62 normal controls.The patients' syndromes were assessed by Positive and Negative Syndrome Scale (PANSS).And the stimuli are Chinese sentences with matching (congruent) or mismatching (incongruent) ending words.Results:N400 latencies were prolonged,and amplitudes were decreased in Cz,Pz,Fz,C3,C4,in FES compared with in NC,before treatment.The prolonged N400 latencies and decreased amplitudes were negatively correlated with the patients' positive scale and total scale of PANSS.There are significant differences of N400 amplitudes and latencies in 6 months and 15 months follow-up after treatment.Before treatment,6 months and 15 months after treatment,N400 latencies are 446 ± 35 ms,440 ± 37 ms,414 ± 31 ms (F =9.72,P 〈 0.01) in incongruent situation;N400 amplitudes are 5.2 ± 4.6 μtⅤ,5.7 ± 4.8 μⅤ,7.3 ± 5.0 μⅤ (F =2.06,P 〉 0.05) in congruent situation,and 8.5 ± 5.9 μⅤ,10.1 ± 5.0 μⅤ,11.9 ± 7.0 μⅤ (F =3.697,P 〈 0.05) in incongruent situation.Conclusions:N400 could be used to predict the effects of treatment of schizophrenia to some degree.The linguistic and cognitive impairment in schizophrenia can be improved by antipsychotic drugs.展开更多

文摘Low-power laser therapy has been used for the non-surgical treatment of mild to moderate carpal tunnel syndrome,although its efficacy has been a long-standing controversy.The laser parameters in low-power laser therapy are closely related to the laser effect on human tissue.To evaluate the efficacy of low-power laser therapy,laser parameters should be accurately measured and controlled,which has been ignored in previous clinical trials.Here,we report the measurement of the effective optical power of low-power laser therapy for carpal tunnel syndrome.By monitoring the backside reflection and scattering laser power from human skin at the wrist,the effective laser power can be inferred.Using clinical measurements from 30 cases,we found that the effective laser power differed significantly among cases,with the measured laser reflection coefficient ranging from 1.8% to 54%.The reflection coefficient for 36.7% of these 30 cases was in the range of 10–20%,but for 16.7% of cases,it was higher than 40%.Consequently,monitoring the effective optical power during laser irradiation is necessary for the laser therapy of carpal tunnel syndrome.

文摘The surface glycoproteins of coronaviruses play an important role in receptor binding and cell entry. Different coronaviruses interact with their specific receptors to enter host cells. Lentiviruses pseudotyped with their spike proteins(S) were compared to analyze the entry efficiency of various coronaviruses. Our results indicated that S proteins from different coronaviruses displayed varied abilities to mediate pseudotyped virus infection. Furthermore, the cell tropisms of porcine epidemic diarrhea virus(PEDV) and transmissible gastroenteritis virus(TGEV) have been characterized by live and pseudotyped viruses. Both live and pseudoviruses could infected VeroCCL-81(monkey kidney), Huh-7(human liver), and PK-15(pig kidney) cells efficiently. CCL94(cat kidney) cells could be infected efficiently by TGEV but not PEDV. Overall, our study provides new insights into the mechanisms of viral entry and forms a basis for antiviral drug screening.

文摘Metal organic frameworks(MOFs) are a kind of promising materials in many applications,while the fast and controllable synthesis of MOFs is still challenging.Here,taking HKUST-1 as illustration,a microplasma electrochemistry(MIPEC) strategy was developed to accelerate the synthesis process of MOFs with micro-plasma acting as cathode.Treating the HKUST-1 precursor solution with micro-plasma cathode could not only transfer the electrons into the solution leading to the deprotonation effect,but also generate radical species to trigger and accelerate the nucleation and growth of MOFs at the plasmaliquid interface.Thus,uniform and nanosize MOFs could be prepared within minutes.The obtained MOFs show similar excellent uranium adsorption properties compared with those obtained by other method,with a highly adsorption capability of uranium with 550 mg/g in minutes.The novel MIPEC strategy developed in this work provides an alternative for controllable synthesis of MOFs,and especially has potential application in accelerating traditional organic synthesis.
文摘Objective: To study the tr eatment of postope rative gast ropa resis in pa ti ents with gast ric cancer. Methods: 18 patients with gast ropa resis afte r gast ric cance r sur gery were divided into two gr oups, including 10 pa ti ents in the obse rva tion group and 8 pati ents in the cont rol group. The observation group was treated with traditional Chinese medicine combined with warm acupuncture and moxibustion, and the control group was treated with western medicine. Results: After 7 days tr eatment, the re was significant diffe rence in cure r ate and total effective rate between the two groups (P < 0.01), and the treatment group was obviously superior to the control group. Conclusion: Traditional Chinese medicine combined with warm acupuncture is effective in the treatment of postoperative gastroparesis of gastric cancer.
文摘The Chinese microblog text is short,full of noise data and emoticons,and the words are often irregularly.For these characteristics,we proposed a fine-grained emotion analysis method.Combined with TF-IDF and variance statistics,we realized a method of calculating multi-class feature selection.We judge the text whether it is positive or negative first,then choose the fine-grained emotional tendency.And we get good result with the test using COAE data set.Compared with other method for feature selection and other emotional library,we did better.

文摘Developing polymeric adsorbents for uranium harvesting from high-salinity environments remains a daunting challenge due to the‘polyelectrolyte effect’-induced conformational collapse compromising the ligand availability.A catalyst-free,visible light-controlled radical polymerization has been presented here for the tailor-made synthesis of zwitterionic block copolymers(BCPs)bearing uranophilic ligands.The novel anti-polyelectrolyte uranium harvesters exhibited significant salinity resistance.The facile and robust photosynthetic strategy offers a significantly high monomer conversion(α>95%)that facilitates“one-pot”chain extension to develop the BCPs.Metal catalyst residues,as found in conventional controlled radical polymerizations,are avoided and promoted to synthesize fascinating polymeric materials.We also highlight the first study,by integrating computational modeling with QCM-D analysis,on the interplay between polymer conformational dynamics and chemical adsorption behaviors.With zwitterionic polymer segments as conformational regulators,the BCPs exhibit remarkable‘anti-polyelectrolyte effect’by maintaining stretched conformations in saline solutions.Improved ligand accessibility and promotion of diffusional mass transfer are achieved,enabling a high adsorption capacity toward uranium with remarkably fast kinetics in spiked natural seawater and salt lake brines.

文摘The performance of organic electrochemical transistors(OECTs)relies on the interaction between organic semiconductors and ions.Consequently,hydrophilic ethylene glycol(EG)side chains are incorporated into organic semiconductors to improve the channel’s capacity to absorb ions.However,the EG substituted organic semiconductors tend to swell when immersed in aqueous electrolytes and exhibit microstructural changes induced by dopant ions.In our research,we introduce an alkyl spacer to create distance between the fullerene and EG chain.This approach is designed to reduce the negative effects of swelling and balance the ion and electron conduction.We conducted an analysis of OECTs using four fullerene derivatives:no alkyl spacer,butyl,hexyl,and octyl spacers.The OECTs based on fullerene derivatives with butyl and hexyl spacers exhibit enhanced transconductance(g_(m)=11.8 and 19.4 mS)compared to the ones without alkyl spacers.It has also been observed that the butyl and hexyl spacers lead to a more than tenfold increase in volumetric capacitance.Further increasing the alkyl spacer(octyl group)leads to no transistor behavior.Our study uncovers the relationship between alkyl spacers and the performance of OECTs based on fullerene derivatives.This will serve as a guideline for designing n-type small molecules for OECTs.Finally,we showcased the potential of utilizing OECTs based on these fullerene derivatives in cation sensing,which is promising for developing sweat sensors.

文摘Nonconventional fluorescent materials,which are nonaromatic or consist of isolated aromatic systems,have attracted extensive attention because of their aggregation-induced emission properties.The mechanism of nonconventional fluorescence remains incompletely understood,hindering the prediction and modulation of its emission color.Achieving full-color tunability in such systems,particularly within elastomers,is highly challenging.Herein,fluorescent cross-linked polysiloxanes are synthesized using aliphatic amino-terminated polysiloxane and glutaraldehyde,exhibiting full-color emission that can be continuously tuned through thermal treatments within a single material system.Thermal treatment of cross-linked polysiloxanes enables precise control over the structural evolution of fluorophores from imines to 3-(2-piperidyl)pyridinium derivatives and their aggregation states.It enables the continuous and wide-range modulation of the emission color.Additionally,the intramolecular and intermolecular charge transfers of the novel unconventional fluorophore,3-(2-piperidyl)pyridinium derivatives,have been identified,which are of great significance for aggregation-induced bathochromic fluorescence.Prepared from all commercial chemicals,these cross-linked polysiloxanes show great potential for large-scale production and applications,especially as flexible fluorescent light-conversion layers and solvent-responsive smart materials.Furthermore,our research is expected to inspire the innovation of unconventional fluorophores in multiple dimensions.

文摘This work reports a de novo synthesis of novel bifunctional conjugated microporous polymers(CMPs)exhibiting a synergistic-effect involved coordination behavior to uranium.It is highlighted that the synthetic strategy enables the engineering of the coordination environment within amidoxime functionalized CMP frameworks by specifically introducing ortho-substituted amino functionalities,enhancing the affinity to uranyl ions via forming synergistic complexes.The CMPs exhibit high Brunauer-Emmett-Teller(BET)surface area,well-developed three-dimensional(3D)networks with hierarchical porosity,and favorable chemical and thermal stability because of the covalently cross-linked structure.Compared with the amino-free counterparts,the adsorption capacity of bifunctional CMPs was increased by almost 70%,from 105 to 174 mg/g,indicating evidently enhanced binding ability to uranium.Moreover,new insights into coordination mechanism were obtained by in-depth X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS)analysis and density functional theory(DFT)calculation,suggesting a dominant role of the oxime ligands forming a 1:1 metal ions/ligands(M/L)coordination model with uranyl ions while demonstrating the synergistic engagement of the amino functionalities via direct binding to uranium center and hydrogen-bonding involved secondary-sphere interaction.This work sheds light on the underlying principles of ortho-substituted functionalities directed synergistic effect to promote the coordination of amidoxime with uranyl ions.And the synthetic strategy established here would enable the task-specific development of more novel CMP-based functional materials for broadened applications.
文摘Background:The N400 component of event-related potentials (ERP) has recently drawn widespread attention at home and abroad.This study was to explore the relationship between N400 changes and risperidone treatment and rehabilitation in first-episode schizophrenia (FES).Methods:ERP component N400 was recorded by Guangzhou Runjie W J-l ERP instruments,in 58 FES before and 6 months,15 months after risperidone treatment,and in 62 normal controls.The patients' syndromes were assessed by Positive and Negative Syndrome Scale (PANSS).And the stimuli are Chinese sentences with matching (congruent) or mismatching (incongruent) ending words.Results:N400 latencies were prolonged,and amplitudes were decreased in Cz,Pz,Fz,C3,C4,in FES compared with in NC,before treatment.The prolonged N400 latencies and decreased amplitudes were negatively correlated with the patients' positive scale and total scale of PANSS.There are significant differences of N400 amplitudes and latencies in 6 months and 15 months follow-up after treatment.Before treatment,6 months and 15 months after treatment,N400 latencies are 446 ± 35 ms,440 ± 37 ms,414 ± 31 ms (F =9.72,P 〈 0.01) in incongruent situation;N400 amplitudes are 5.2 ± 4.6 μtⅤ,5.7 ± 4.8 μⅤ,7.3 ± 5.0 μⅤ (F =2.06,P 〉 0.05) in congruent situation,and 8.5 ± 5.9 μⅤ,10.1 ± 5.0 μⅤ,11.9 ± 7.0 μⅤ (F =3.697,P 〈 0.05) in incongruent situation.Conclusions:N400 could be used to predict the effects of treatment of schizophrenia to some degree.The linguistic and cognitive impairment in schizophrenia can be improved by antipsychotic drugs.
