Chlorophyll a(Chl a)is a key photosynthetic pigment and an essential indicator of phytoplankton biomass.Accurate Chl a measurements are crucial for understanding marine biogeochemical processes.China launched the Chin...Chlorophyll a(Chl a)is a key photosynthetic pigment and an essential indicator of phytoplankton biomass.Accurate Chl a measurements are crucial for understanding marine biogeochemical processes.China launched the Chinese Ocean Color and Temperature Scanner(COCTS)aboard the HY-1D satellite in 2020,yet its Chl a products require further validation in complex coastal waters.This study assesses HY-1D Chl a products in the Bohai and Yellow Seas,two optically complex coastal regions,using in situ data collected during multiple cruises.Additionally,we compare HY-1D Chl a products with those from the Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer(MODIS)and the Visible Infrared Imaging Radiometer Suite(VIIRS).We observed that although Chl a products from HY-1D are generally consistent with those from the MODIS and VIIRS in spatial distribution,there are still significant errors when compared with in situ data.Therefore,we developed a new blended algorithm to improve the accuracy of HY-1D Chl a products.The algorithm distinguishes between turbid and relatively clean waters using a classification index based on the ratio of remote sensing reflectance(R_(rs)(λ)).After the initial classification,we developed targeted algorithms based on the optical properties of different water bodies.The new model shows a significant improvement,reducing the mean absolute percentage error(MAPE)from 43.1%to 24.3%.Additionally,merging Chl a data from HY-1D,MODIS,and VIIRS maintains good accuracy,with HY-1D Chl a products significantly enhancing data coverage and robustness.This research provides important support for producing high-quality HY-1D Chl a products for coastal waters.展开更多
BACKGROUND Acute appendicitis is common among pediatric patients,and postoperative infections and complications are significant factors that affect recovery.As a“forward-looking”nursing model,anticipatory care may r...BACKGROUND Acute appendicitis is common among pediatric patients,and postoperative infections and complications are significant factors that affect recovery.As a“forward-looking”nursing model,anticipatory care may reduce the incidence of postoperative wound infections and complications.AIM To explore the effects of anticipatory care on the management of postoperative infections and complications in pediatric patients diagnosed with acute appen-dicitis.METHODS This prospective randomized controlled study included data from 78 pediatric patients who underwent acute appendicitis surgery at Shijiazhuang Sixth Hos-pital(Hebei Province,China)between February 2021 and March 2024.Patients were divided into two groups:The intervention and control groups(n=39 each)were based on a random numbers table method.Both groups received routine postoperative nursing care,whereas the intervention group received additional anticipatory care.Statistical analyses were performed using independent sample t-tests,χ2 tests,analysis of variance,and rank-sum tests.RESULTS Postoperative pain scores and hospital length of stay were significantly lower in the intervention group than those in the control group(P<0.05 and P<0.001,respectively).Postoperative wound infection and overall complication rates were significantly lower in the intervention group than those in the control group(5.13%vs 23.08%,P<0.001;15.38%vs 46.15%,P<0.001,respectively).Furthermore,parental satisfaction scores were significantly higher in the intervention group than those in the control group(P<0.05).Logistic regression identified high C-reactive protein level as a risk factor for postoperative infections and complications,whereas proactive(i.e.anticipatory)nursing intervention was a protective factor.CONCLUSION This study provided a scientific basis for the implementation of anticipatory care in the postoperative management of pediatric patients experiencing acute appendicitis.展开更多
Owing to its high theoretical capacity and low cost,Sn has attracted significant attention in sodium-ion batteries.However,the slow kinetics of electrochemical reactions and the rapid decay of capacity resulting from ...Owing to its high theoretical capacity and low cost,Sn has attracted significant attention in sodium-ion batteries.However,the slow kinetics of electrochemical reactions and the rapid decay of capacity resulting from drastic changes in the volume of Sn,as well as persistent side reactions between Sn and the organic electrolyte during the(de)sodium process,have limited its commercialization.To improve the electrochemical performance of Sn-based materials,the bottom-up method is normally used to prepare carbon-coated nanoparticles.However,its complex preparation processes and harsh conditions make it unsuitable for practical applications.Herein,a carbon-coated hybrid crystal composite(Sn/SnO_(x)@C)was prepared using an up-bottom method with commercial Sn/SnO nanoparticles.Various effects accelerate the electrochemical kinetics and inhibit the coarsening of Sn crystals.The Sn/SnO_(x)@C composite electrode exhibited capacity retention of 80.7%even after approximately 1000 cycles(360.4 mAh·g^(−1)) at a current density of 1 A·g^(−1).The high-load Na_(3)V_(2)(PO4)3||Sn/SnO_(x)@C full cell presents a capacity retention rate of 91.7%after 150 cycles at the current density of 0.5 A·g^(−1).This work may significantly accelerate the commercialization of the Sn/SnO_(x)@C composite in sodium-ion batteries with high energy density.展开更多
Owing to their high volumetric capacity,low cost and high safety,rechargeable aluminum batteries have become promising candidates for energy applications.However,the high charge density of Al^(3+)leads to strong coulo...Owing to their high volumetric capacity,low cost and high safety,rechargeable aluminum batteries have become promising candidates for energy applications.However,the high charge density of Al^(3+)leads to strong coulombic interactions between anions and the cathode,resulting in sluggish diffusion kinetics and irreversible collapse of the cathode structure.Furthermore,AlCl_(3)-based ionic liquids,which are commonly used as electrolytes in such batteries,corrode battery components and are prone to side reactions.The above problems lead to low capacity and poor cycling stability.Herein,we propose a reduced graphene oxide(rGO)cathode with a three-dimensional porous structure prepared using a simple and scalable method.The lamellar edges and oxygen-containing group defects of rGO synergistically provide abundant ion storage sites and enhance ion transfer kinetics.We matched the prepared rGO cathode with noncorrosive electrolyte 0.5 mol·L^(-1) Al(OTF)_(3)/[BMIM]OTF and Al metal to construct a high-performance battery,Al||rGO-150,with good cycling stability for 2700 cycles.Quasi-in-situ physicochemical characterization results show that the ion storage mechanism is codominated by diffusion and capacitance.The capacity consists of the insertion of Al-based species cations as well as synergistic adsorption of Al(OTF)_(x)^((3-x)+)(x<3)and[BMIM]+.The present study promotes the fundamental and applied research on rechargeable aluminum batteries.展开更多
AIM: To describe a three-dimensional model(3DM) to accurately reconstruct anatomic relationships of centrally located hepatocellular carcinomas(HCCs).METHODS: From March 2013 to July 2014, reconstructions and visual s...AIM: To describe a three-dimensional model(3DM) to accurately reconstruct anatomic relationships of centrally located hepatocellular carcinomas(HCCs).METHODS: From March 2013 to July 2014, reconstructions and visual simulations of centrally located HCCs were performed in 39 patients using a 3D subject-based computed tomography(CT) model with customdeveloped software. CT images were used for the 3D reconstruction of Couinaud's pedicles and hepatic veins, and the calculation of corresponding tumor territories and hepatic segments was performed using Yorktal DMIT software. The respective volume, surgical margin, and simulated virtual resection of tumors were also estimated by this model preoperatively. All patients were treated surgically and the results were retrospectively assessed. Clinical characteristics, imaging data, procedure variables, pathologic features, and postoperative data were recorded and compared to determine the reliability of the model.RESULTS: 3D reconstruction allowed stereoscopic identification of the spatial relationships between physiologic and pathologic structures, and offered quantifiable liver resection proposals based on individualized liver anatomy. The predicted values were consistent with the actual values for tumor mass volume(82.4 ± 109.1 m L vs 84.1 ± 108.9 m L, P = 0.910), surgical margin(10.1 ± 6.2 mm vs 9.1 ± 5.9 mm, P = 0.488), and maximum tumor diameter(4.61 ± 2.16 cm vs 4.53 ± 2.14 cm, P = 0.871). In addition,the number and extent of portal venous ramifications, as well as their relation to hepatic veins, were visualized. Preoperative planning based on simulated resection facilitated complete resection of large tumors located in the confluence of major vessels. And most of the predicted data were correlated with intraoperative findings.CONCLUSION: This 3DM provides quantitative morphometry of tumor masses and a stereo-relationship with adjacent structures, thus providing a promising technique for the management of centrally located HCCs.展开更多

The results show that KBrO3 has a greatly synergistic role on M/TiO2 and the photocatalytic activity of M/TiO2 is closely related to its work function. Ag could greatly enhance the activity of TiO2 due to the binding characteristics of pyridine on Ag. Under the conditions of 0.5 wt.% Ag loading, Ag/TiO2 concentration of 0.1 g/L, KlrO3 concentration of 10 mmol/L and reaction liquid pH value at 9, the pyridine can be degraded by 64% within 3 hr, doubled than TiO2 photocatalytic system. The degradation kinetics of pyridine follows first-order kinetics and k = 5.53 × 10-3 min^-1.展开更多
Introduction:Hepatocellular adenomas(HCAs),with a risk of malignant transformation into hepatocellular carcinoma(HCQ,classically develop in young women who are taking oral contraceptives.It is now clear that HCAs may ...Introduction:Hepatocellular adenomas(HCAs),with a risk of malignant transformation into hepatocellular carcinoma(HCQ,classically develop in young women who are taking oral contraceptives.It is now clear that HCAs may also occur in men.However,it is rarely reported that HCAs with malignant transformation occur in male patients with non-cirrhotic livers.This study aimed to characterize the malignancy of HCAs occurring in male patients.Methods:All patients with HCAs with malignant transformation who underwent hepatectomy at the Cancer Institute and Hospital,Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences and Peking Union Medical College between January 1,1999 and December 31,2011 were enrolled in the study.The clinical characteristics as well as radiologic and pathologic data were reviewed.Results:HCAs with malignant transformation were observed in 5 male patients with non-cirrhotic livers,but not in female patients.The alpha-fetoprotein(AFP) levels were higher in patients with HCAs with malignant transformation than in patients with HCAs without malignant transformation.The diameters of the tumors with malignant transformation were larger than 5 cm in 3 cases and smaller than 5 cm in 2 cases.The 5 patients were all alive without recurrence by the end of the study period.The disease-free survival times of the 5 patients were 26,48,69,69,and 92 months.Conclusion:Our results indicate that resection would be advised even if the presumptive diagnosis is adenoma smaller than 5 cm in diameter,especially in male patients.展开更多
BACKGROUND Turner syndrome(TS)has a variety of different karyotypes,with a wide range of phenotypic features,but the specific karyotype may not always predict the phenotype.TS with Y chromosome mosaicism may have mixe...BACKGROUND Turner syndrome(TS)has a variety of different karyotypes,with a wide range of phenotypic features,but the specific karyotype may not always predict the phenotype.TS with Y chromosome mosaicism may have mixed gonadal dysgenesis,and the mosaicism is related to the potential for gonadoblastoma.CASE SUMMARY In this case report,we report two cases of TS with different karyotypes and gonadal dysgenesis.Patient 1 had obvious virilization,and was positive for the SRY gene,but her karyotype in peripheral blood lymphocytes was 45X.Patient 2 had a mosaic karyotype,45X/46X,dic(Y:Y)(p11.3:p11.2),and the proportion of Y-bearing cells was 50%in peripheral blood lymphocytes,but the patient had normal female external genitalia and streaky gonads,with no genital virilism.Different tissues in the same TS individual may exhibit different ratios of mosaicism.The gonadal determination and differentiation of mosaic TS are primarily dependent on the predominant cell line in the gonads.CONCLUSION In TS patients with virilization,it is necessary to test at least two to three tissues to search for cryptic Y material.展开更多

Research has found that miRNAs involved in the regulation of many metabolic processes. Here we uncovered that the beef quality of Angus cattle sharply diversified after acute stress. By performing miRNA microarray analysis, 13 miRNAs were significantly differentially expressed in stressed group compared to control group. Using a bioinformatics method, 135 protein-coding genes were predicted as the targets of significant differentially expressed miRNAs. Gene Ontology (GO) term and Ingenuity Pathway Analysis (IPA) mined that these target genes involved in some important pathways, which may have impact on meat quality and beef tenderness.展开更多

Methods:80 cases of children with CVA were enrolled in our hosp...Objective:To observe the effect of Huaiqihuang granule on immunoglobulin, T lymphocyte subsets and cytokines in children with cough variant asthma (CVA). Methods:80 cases of children with CVA were enrolled in our hospital from June 2015 to June 2016, and were randomly divided into study group and control group. Two groups were both given salbutamol aerosol powder. On this basis, the control group was given Montelukast Sodium Chewable Tablets, while the study group was treated with Huaiqihuang granules. The interleukin 4 (IL-4), interferon-γ(IFN-γ), IgA, IgG and IgE levels and CD4+, CD8+T lymphocyte ratio analyze in children after 3 months of treatment. Results:There were no significant differences between the two groups before treatment (P>0.05). Both IgA and IgG were significantly higher in the two groups after treatment, while IgE was significantly lower (P<0.05). Compared with the control group, the IgA and IgG in the study group were significantly higher than those in the control group (P<0.05), while IgE was significantly lower (P<0.05). After treatment, compared with the control group, the proportion of CD4+ and CD4+/CD8+ in the study group were significantly lower than that of the control group, and the CD8+ratio increased more significantly (P<0.05). After treatment, IL-4 decreased significantly, while IFN-γand IFN-γ/IL-4 were significantly increased (P<0.05), IL-4 level of the study group decreased significantly compared with the control group, and IFN-γincreased significantly compared with the control group, and the level of IFN-γ/IL-4 after treatment was significantly higher than that of the control group (P<0.05). Conclusions: Huaiqihuang granule can improve humoral immunity and cellular immunity of children with CVA, and can adjust the immune cells balance of Th1/Th2, and improve the immune function and prognosis of children with CVA.展开更多

Magnesium metal batteries are considered as viable alternatives of lithium-ion batteries for their low cost and high capacity of magnesium.Nevertheless,the practical application of magnesium metal batteries is extreme...Magnesium metal batteries are considered as viable alternatives of lithium-ion batteries for their low cost and high capacity of magnesium.Nevertheless,the practical application of magnesium metal batteries is extremely challenging due to a lack of suitable electrolyte that can stabilize magnesium metal anode and high-voltage cathode simultaneously.Herein,we found that in-situ formed lithium/magnesium hybrid electrolyte interphases in conventional LiPF6-containing carbonate-based electrolyte can not only prevent the production of passivation layer on the magnesium metal anode,but also inhibit the oxidation of the electrolyte under high voltage.The symmetric magnesium‖magnesium battery can achieve reversible stripping/plating for 1600 and 600 h at 0.02 and 0.1 mA cm^(-2),respectively.In addition,when coupled with a carbon fiber cathode,the magnesium metal battery exhibited a capacity retention rate of 96.3% for 1000 cycles at a current density of 500 mA g^(-1)and presented a working voltage of ~3.1 V.This research paves a new and promising path to the commercialization process of rechargeable magnesium metal batteries.展开更多

Host genes, especially immune related genes, are activated by the virus. DNA methylation is an epigenetic mechanism that governs gene transcription. In the present study, we found that expression of signal transducer and activator of transcription 1 (STAT1) was upregulated at 10 days post infection (dpi) in MD susceptible chickens, whereas interleukin 12A (IL12A) was elevated in both resistant and susceptible chickens. However, we did not observe MDV-induced DNA methylation variations at the promoter CpG islands (CGIs) in STAT1 and IL12A. Interestingly, the methylation levels at Chicken Repeat 1 (CR1), the transposable elements (TEs) located upstream of two genes, were different between resistant and susceptible chickens. Furthermore, a mutation was identified in the CR1 element near IL12A. The impact of the point mutation in transcriptional factor binding is to be examined in the near future.展开更多

文摘Owing to their high volumetric capacity,low cost and high safety,rechargeable aluminum batteries have become promising candidates for energy applications.However,the high charge density of Al^(3+)leads to strong coulombic interactions between anions and the cathode,resulting in sluggish diffusion kinetics and irreversible collapse of the cathode structure.Furthermore,AlCl_(3)-based ionic liquids,which are commonly used as electrolytes in such batteries,corrode battery components and are prone to side reactions.The above problems lead to low capacity and poor cycling stability.Herein,we propose a reduced graphene oxide(rGO)cathode with a three-dimensional porous structure prepared using a simple and scalable method.The lamellar edges and oxygen-containing group defects of rGO synergistically provide abundant ion storage sites and enhance ion transfer kinetics.We matched the prepared rGO cathode with noncorrosive electrolyte 0.5 mol·L^(-1) Al(OTF)_(3)/[BMIM]OTF and Al metal to construct a high-performance battery,Al||rGO-150,with good cycling stability for 2700 cycles.Quasi-in-situ physicochemical characterization results show that the ion storage mechanism is codominated by diffusion and capacitance.The capacity consists of the insertion of Al-based species cations as well as synergistic adsorption of Al(OTF)_(x)^((3-x)+)(x<3)and[BMIM]+.The present study promotes the fundamental and applied research on rechargeable aluminum batteries.
文摘AIM: To describe a three-dimensional model(3DM) to accurately reconstruct anatomic relationships of centrally located hepatocellular carcinomas(HCCs).METHODS: From March 2013 to July 2014, reconstructions and visual simulations of centrally located HCCs were performed in 39 patients using a 3D subject-based computed tomography(CT) model with customdeveloped software. CT images were used for the 3D reconstruction of Couinaud's pedicles and hepatic veins, and the calculation of corresponding tumor territories and hepatic segments was performed using Yorktal DMIT software. The respective volume, surgical margin, and simulated virtual resection of tumors were also estimated by this model preoperatively. All patients were treated surgically and the results were retrospectively assessed. Clinical characteristics, imaging data, procedure variables, pathologic features, and postoperative data were recorded and compared to determine the reliability of the model.RESULTS: 3D reconstruction allowed stereoscopic identification of the spatial relationships between physiologic and pathologic structures, and offered quantifiable liver resection proposals based on individualized liver anatomy. The predicted values were consistent with the actual values for tumor mass volume(82.4 ± 109.1 m L vs 84.1 ± 108.9 m L, P = 0.910), surgical margin(10.1 ± 6.2 mm vs 9.1 ± 5.9 mm, P = 0.488), and maximum tumor diameter(4.61 ± 2.16 cm vs 4.53 ± 2.14 cm, P = 0.871). In addition,the number and extent of portal venous ramifications, as well as their relation to hepatic veins, were visualized. Preoperative planning based on simulated resection facilitated complete resection of large tumors located in the confluence of major vessels. And most of the predicted data were correlated with intraoperative findings.CONCLUSION: This 3DM provides quantitative morphometry of tumor masses and a stereo-relationship with adjacent structures, thus providing a promising technique for the management of centrally located HCCs.

文摘A series of precious metals catalysts (M/TiO/, M = Ru, Rh, Pd, Ag, Ir, Pt or Au) were prepared by a light deposition method and the synergistic photocatalytic degradations of pyridine (20 mg/L) under UV irradiation (365 nm) using M/TiO2 with electron capture agent KBrO3 have been investigated. The results show that KBrO3 has a greatly synergistic role on M/TiO2 and the photocatalytic activity of M/TiO2 is closely related to its work function. Ag could greatly enhance the activity of TiO2 due to the binding characteristics of pyridine on Ag. Under the conditions of 0.5 wt.% Ag loading, Ag/TiO2 concentration of 0.1 g/L, KlrO3 concentration of 10 mmol/L and reaction liquid pH value at 9, the pyridine can be degraded by 64% within 3 hr, doubled than TiO2 photocatalytic system. The degradation kinetics of pyridine follows first-order kinetics and k = 5.53 × 10-3 min^-1.

文摘Introduction:Hepatocellular adenomas(HCAs),with a risk of malignant transformation into hepatocellular carcinoma(HCQ,classically develop in young women who are taking oral contraceptives.It is now clear that HCAs may also occur in men.However,it is rarely reported that HCAs with malignant transformation occur in male patients with non-cirrhotic livers.This study aimed to characterize the malignancy of HCAs occurring in male patients.Methods:All patients with HCAs with malignant transformation who underwent hepatectomy at the Cancer Institute and Hospital,Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences and Peking Union Medical College between January 1,1999 and December 31,2011 were enrolled in the study.The clinical characteristics as well as radiologic and pathologic data were reviewed.Results:HCAs with malignant transformation were observed in 5 male patients with non-cirrhotic livers,but not in female patients.The alpha-fetoprotein(AFP) levels were higher in patients with HCAs with malignant transformation than in patients with HCAs without malignant transformation.The diameters of the tumors with malignant transformation were larger than 5 cm in 3 cases and smaller than 5 cm in 2 cases.The 5 patients were all alive without recurrence by the end of the study period.The disease-free survival times of the 5 patients were 26,48,69,69,and 92 months.Conclusion:Our results indicate that resection would be advised even if the presumptive diagnosis is adenoma smaller than 5 cm in diameter,especially in male patients.
文摘BACKGROUND Turner syndrome(TS)has a variety of different karyotypes,with a wide range of phenotypic features,but the specific karyotype may not always predict the phenotype.TS with Y chromosome mosaicism may have mixed gonadal dysgenesis,and the mosaicism is related to the potential for gonadoblastoma.CASE SUMMARY In this case report,we report two cases of TS with different karyotypes and gonadal dysgenesis.Patient 1 had obvious virilization,and was positive for the SRY gene,but her karyotype in peripheral blood lymphocytes was 45X.Patient 2 had a mosaic karyotype,45X/46X,dic(Y:Y)(p11.3:p11.2),and the proportion of Y-bearing cells was 50%in peripheral blood lymphocytes,but the patient had normal female external genitalia and streaky gonads,with no genital virilism.Different tissues in the same TS individual may exhibit different ratios of mosaicism.The gonadal determination and differentiation of mosaic TS are primarily dependent on the predominant cell line in the gonads.CONCLUSION In TS patients with virilization,it is necessary to test at least two to three tissues to search for cryptic Y material.

文摘miRNAs are a class of small, single-stranded, non-coding RNAs that perform post-transcriptional repression of target genes by binding to 3' untranslated regions. Research has found that miRNAs involved in the regulation of many metabolic processes. Here we uncovered that the beef quality of Angus cattle sharply diversified after acute stress. By performing miRNA microarray analysis, 13 miRNAs were significantly differentially expressed in stressed group compared to control group. Using a bioinformatics method, 135 protein-coding genes were predicted as the targets of significant differentially expressed miRNAs. Gene Ontology (GO) term and Ingenuity Pathway Analysis (IPA) mined that these target genes involved in some important pathways, which may have impact on meat quality and beef tenderness.
文摘Objective:To observe the effect of Huaiqihuang granule on immunoglobulin, T lymphocyte subsets and cytokines in children with cough variant asthma (CVA). Methods:80 cases of children with CVA were enrolled in our hospital from June 2015 to June 2016, and were randomly divided into study group and control group. Two groups were both given salbutamol aerosol powder. On this basis, the control group was given Montelukast Sodium Chewable Tablets, while the study group was treated with Huaiqihuang granules. The interleukin 4 (IL-4), interferon-γ(IFN-γ), IgA, IgG and IgE levels and CD4+, CD8+T lymphocyte ratio analyze in children after 3 months of treatment. Results:There were no significant differences between the two groups before treatment (P>0.05). Both IgA and IgG were significantly higher in the two groups after treatment, while IgE was significantly lower (P<0.05). Compared with the control group, the IgA and IgG in the study group were significantly higher than those in the control group (P<0.05), while IgE was significantly lower (P<0.05). After treatment, compared with the control group, the proportion of CD4+ and CD4+/CD8+ in the study group were significantly lower than that of the control group, and the CD8+ratio increased more significantly (P<0.05). After treatment, IL-4 decreased significantly, while IFN-γand IFN-γ/IL-4 were significantly increased (P<0.05), IL-4 level of the study group decreased significantly compared with the control group, and IFN-γincreased significantly compared with the control group, and the level of IFN-γ/IL-4 after treatment was significantly higher than that of the control group (P<0.05). Conclusions: Huaiqihuang granule can improve humoral immunity and cellular immunity of children with CVA, and can adjust the immune cells balance of Th1/Th2, and improve the immune function and prognosis of children with CVA.

文摘The rational design of nanozymes with superior activities is essential for improving bioassay performances.Herein,nitrogen and boron co-doped graphene nanoribbons(NB-GNRs)are prepared by a hydrothermal method using urea as the nitrogen source and boric acid as the boron source,respectively.The introduction of co-doped and edge structures provides high defects and active sites.The resultant NB-GNRs nanozymes show superior peroxidase-like activities to nitrogen-doped and boron-doped counterparts due to the synergistic effects.By taking advantage of their peroxidase-like activities,NB-GNRs are used for the first time to develop enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay for the detection of interleukin-6.The biosensors exhibit a high performance with a linear range from 0.001 ng/mL to 1000 ng/mL and a detection limit of 0.3 pg/mL.Due to their low cost and high stability,the proposed nanomaterials show great promise in biocatalysis,immunoassay development and environmental monitoring.
文摘Cerebral ischemia is due to the formation of blood clots or embolisms in the brain arteries,which leads to local brain tissue necrosis and neural cell apoptosis.Recent studies have shown that microRNA(miRNA)plays an important regulatory role in the pathological process of ischemic injury.The aim of this study is to investigate the role and the mechanism of miR-21-3p and drosophila mothers against decapentaplegic 2(SMAD2)in cerebral ischemic reperfusion injured(CIRI)neural cells.The CIRI model was established by oxygen-glucose deprivation and recovery process for N2a cells.The cell viability and the apoptotic was evaluated by MTT assay and the Flow Cytometer,respectively.The expression of miR-21-3p and SMAD2 mRNA was detected by real-time fluorescence quantitative PCR(qRT-PCR),and the expression of SMAD2 and apoptotic-related proteins were detected by Western Blotting.Our results showed that miR-21-3p is down-regulated,and SMAD2 is up-regulated in CIRI.Overexpression of miR-21-3p inhibits the apoptosis of neural cells in CIRI.miR-21-3p targets SMAD2 and inhibits SMAD2 expression.Overexpression of SMAD2 eliminates the protective effect of over-expression of miR-21-3p on neural cells in CIRI.Token together,this study provides a theoretical basis for the mechanism of ischemic reperfusion injury in neural cells and a new molecular target for ischemic stroke therapy.

文摘Magnesium metal batteries are considered as viable alternatives of lithium-ion batteries for their low cost and high capacity of magnesium.Nevertheless,the practical application of magnesium metal batteries is extremely challenging due to a lack of suitable electrolyte that can stabilize magnesium metal anode and high-voltage cathode simultaneously.Herein,we found that in-situ formed lithium/magnesium hybrid electrolyte interphases in conventional LiPF6-containing carbonate-based electrolyte can not only prevent the production of passivation layer on the magnesium metal anode,but also inhibit the oxidation of the electrolyte under high voltage.The symmetric magnesium‖magnesium battery can achieve reversible stripping/plating for 1600 and 600 h at 0.02 and 0.1 mA cm^(-2),respectively.In addition,when coupled with a carbon fiber cathode,the magnesium metal battery exhibited a capacity retention rate of 96.3% for 1000 cycles at a current density of 500 mA g^(-1)and presented a working voltage of ~3.1 V.This research paves a new and promising path to the commercialization process of rechargeable magnesium metal batteries.
文摘Marek’s disease virus (MDV) challenge induces lymphoma in susceptible chickens. Host genes, especially immune related genes, are activated by the virus. DNA methylation is an epigenetic mechanism that governs gene transcription. In the present study, we found that expression of signal transducer and activator of transcription 1 (STAT1) was upregulated at 10 days post infection (dpi) in MD susceptible chickens, whereas interleukin 12A (IL12A) was elevated in both resistant and susceptible chickens. However, we did not observe MDV-induced DNA methylation variations at the promoter CpG islands (CGIs) in STAT1 and IL12A. Interestingly, the methylation levels at Chicken Repeat 1 (CR1), the transposable elements (TEs) located upstream of two genes, were different between resistant and susceptible chickens. Furthermore, a mutation was identified in the CR1 element near IL12A. The impact of the point mutation in transcriptional factor binding is to be examined in the near future.
