文摘The synergy of single atoms(SAs)and nanoparticles(NPs)has demonstrated great potential in promoting the electrocatalytic carbon dioxide reduction reaction(CO_(2)RR);however,the rationalization of the SAs/NPs proportion remains one challenge for the catalyst design.Herein,a Ni2+-loaded porous poly(ionic liquids)(PIL)precursor synthesized through the free radical self-polymerization of the ionic liquid monomer,1-allyl-3-vinylimidazolium chloride, was pyrolyzed to prepare the Ni,N co-doped carbon materials,in which the proportion of Ni SAs and NPs could be facilely modulated by controlling the annealing temperature. The catalyst Ni-NC-1000 with a moderate proportion of Ni SAs and NPs exhibited high efficiency in the electrocatalytic conversion of CO_(2)into CO.Operando Ni K-edge X-ray absorption near-edge structure(XANES)spectra and theoretical calculations were conducted to gain insight into the synergy of Ni SAs and NPs.The charge transfer from Ni NPs to the surrounding carbon layer and then to the Ni SAs resulted in the electron-enriched Ni SAs active sites. In the electroreduction of CO_(2),the coexistence of Ni SAs and NPs strengthened the CO_(2)activation and the affinity towards the key intermediate of*COOH,lowering the free energy for the potential-determining*CO_(2)→*COOH step, and therefore promoted the catalysis efficiency.

文摘Integrating thick/thin film sensors into component systems has emerged as a prevalent approach for monitoring in extreme environments. However, traditional vapor deposition methods face obstacles, including complex fabrication processes and the degradation of sensitive materials at extremely high temperatures. This work delineates the development of a polysilazane composite dual-layer thick-film Negative Temperature Coefficient(NTC)thermistor characterized by its suitability for extreme temperatures and robust bond strength achieved through an advanced near-net-shape printing methodology.High-temperature resistant La(Ca)CrO_(3)/polysilazane films were printed as the sensitive layer, while a dense layer formed by Cr_(2)O_(3)/polysilazane was used as the protective layer. The bilayer structure resulted in a 2.5-fold increase in adhesion strength compared to the single-layer La(Ca)CrO_(3)/polysilazane films.Experimental results indicate that the dual-layer thick-film NTC thermistor can be operated long-term at 1300℃ with a resistance drift rate of 0.9%/h and survive short-term exposure to temperatures up to 1550℃.As a proof of concept, this work applied 3D printing technology to fabricate a polysilazane composite dual-layer thick-film NTC thermistor on the surface of turbine blades and demonstrated its functionality under flame impingement at nearly 1300℃.Such flexible 3D printing techniques pave the way for a new paradigm in manufacturing sensors capable of withstanding ultra-high temperatures.

文摘High-temperature thin-film strain sensors are advanced technological devices for monitoring stress and strain in extreme environments, but the coupling of temperature and strain at high temperature is a challenge for their use. Here, this issue is addressed by creating a composite ink that combines Pb_(2)Ru_(2)O_(6) and TiB_(2) using polysilazane(PSZ)as a binder. After direct writing and annealing the PSZ/Pb_(2)Ru_(2)O_(6)/TiB_(2) film at 800℃ in air,the resulting thin film exhibits a low temperature coefficient of resistance(TCR)of only 281 ppm/℃ over a wide temperature range from 100℃ to 700℃,while also demonstrating high sensitivity with a gauge factor approaching 19.8.This exceptional performance is attributed to the intrinsic properties of Pb_(2)Ru_(2)O_(6),which has positive TCR at high temperature, and TiB2,which has negative TCR at high temperature.Combining these materials reduces the overall TCR of the film.Tests showed that the PSZ/Pb_(2)Ru_(2)O_(6)/TiB_(2) film maintains stable strain responses and significant signal output even under varying temperature. These findings provide valuable insights for developing high-temperature strain sensors with low TCR and high sensitivity, highlighting their potential for applications in high-temperature strain measurements.

文摘Single-atom catalysts(SACs)have demonstrated exceptional performance in electrocatalytic water splitting, owing to their maximized atomic utilization efficiency and superior reaction kinetics. The incorporation of SACs typically depends on robust metal-support interactions, which stabilize the single atoms on the support through various unsaturated chemical sites or spatial confinement.A critical challenge lies in precisely modulating the electronic structure and coordination environment of metal atoms. However, current research primarily focuses on single-atom metals, often neglecting the significant role of support materials in SACs.Two-dimensional(2D)atomically thin materials(ATMs)possess unique physicochemical properties and tunable reaction environments, which can modulate catalytic performance via metal-support interactions, positioning them as promising platforms for SAC loading. This paper reviews the recent advancements and the current status of SACs supported on 2D ATMs(SACs@ATMs).The structural design theory and synthesis strategies of SACs@ATMs are systematically discussed. The significance of advanced characterization techniques in elucidating the coordination environment and metal-support interactions is highlighted.Additionally, the reaction mechanisms and applications of SACs in electrocatalytic water splitting are summarized. Finally, the future challenges and opportunities for SACs@ATMs are outlined. This paper aims to provide insights and guidance for the rational design of SACs@ATMs with high-performance electrocatalytic water splitting capabilities.

文摘Paired electrolysis of waste feedstocks holds an energy-efficient alternative for chemical production;however, the sluggish anodic oxidation limited the total efficiency under larger current density.Herein,we constructed ultralow-coordinated Ni species with Ni–O coordination number of∼3 via a hydrothermal synthesis-sulfidation-annealing process and electrochemical activation and demonstrated the vital role in accelerating the proton deintercalation and reactive oxygen intermediate·OH formation during electro-reforming polyethylene terephthalate hydrolysate(POR).The target catalyst NiCoSx/NF afforded a high formate productivity of 7.4 mmol cm^(−2)h^(−1)at∼600 mA cm^(−2)with a formate Faradic efficiency(FE_(formate))of 92.4%in POR and maintained a FE_(formate)of∼90%for 100 h at 2 A in a membrane electrode assembly electrolyzer.Coupling POR on NiCoSx/NF with carbon dioxide reduction reaction on oxygen vacancies enriched Vo-BiSnO reached effective concurrent formate production with 172.7%of FE_(formate)at 500 mA cm^(−2)and long-term stability.Such excellent performance shows the great prospect of electrocatalyst design by regulating the local metal environment.

文摘Efficient thermal management is critical to the reliability and performance of nanoscale electronic and photonic devices, particularly those incorporating multilayer structures. In this study,non-equilibrium molecular dynamics simulations were conducted to systematically investigate the effects of temperature, penetration depth, and Si layer thickness on the interfacial thermal resistance(ITR)in nanometer-scale Mo/Si multilayers, widely employed in extreme ultraviolet lithography. The results indicate that:(i)temperature variations exert a negligible influence on the ITR of amorphous Mo/Si interfaces, which remains stable across the range of 200-900 K;(ii)increasing penetration depth enhances the overlap of phonon density of states, thereby significantly reducing ITR;(iii)the ITR decreases with increasing Si thickness up to4.2 nm due to quasi-ballistic phonon transport, but rises again as phonon scattering becomes more pronounced at larger thicknesses. This study provides quantitative insights into heat transfer mechanisms at amorphous interfaces and also offers a feasible strategy for tailoring interfacial thermal transport through structural design.

文摘Germ-free mice exhibit profound immunological immaturity.Despite recent studies emphasizing the role of specific bacterium-derived metabolites in immune cell development and differentiation, the mechanisms linking microbiota absence to systemic immune deficits remain incompletely defined.Here,droplet-based single-cell RNA sequencing of bone marrow and peripheral blood from both germ-free and specific pathogen-free mice was performed, identifying 25 transcriptionally distinct cell types.Neutrophil apoptosis was elevated in germ-free mice, potentially due to the absence of niacin dehydrogenase,a metabolite primarily produced by Pseudomonas. In addition,germ-free mice exhibited increased excretion of 5’-methylthioadenosine,enhanced ERK activation driven by reactive oxygen species, and disruption of bone marrow stromal antigen 2 signaling.Monocytes and CD8^(+)T cells from germ-free mice showed diminished responses to interferon-β and interferon-γ,consistent with heightened viral susceptibility. These findings establish a microbiota-dependent regulatory pathway linking immunodeficiency to microbial absence in germ-free mice, confirmed through complementary validation techniques.

文摘The EXL-50U is China’s first large spherical torus device with a toroidal field reaching 1 T.The major radius of the EXL-50U ranges from 0.6 m to 0.8 m,with an aspect ratio of 1.4−1.8.The goal of plasma current in the first experimental phase is 500 kA,and in the future second phase, the goal of plasma current is 1 MA.On the EXL-50U project, the ENN fusion team expeditiously accomplished a series of comprehensive tasks including physical and engineering design, main component construction installation, and system commissioning, all within a mere eighteen-month timeframe. In the experiments of 2024,the EXL-50U achieved a 500 kA limiter configuration discharge using ECRH(Electron Cyclotron Resonance Heating)for non-inductive current start-up and a current ramp-up with the synergetic effect of ECRH and central solenoid(CS).Preliminary divertor configuration plasmas were also obtained under 200 kA plasma current. The core ion temperature of 1 keV was achieved with low-power NBI heating, and the energy confinement time of 30 ms was reached with Ohmic heating in the flat-top phase. The current and future experiments of EXL-50U will strongly support the physical design and operational scenarios of EHL-2 in the areas of current drive, high ion temperature exploration, energy transport and confinement, and hydrogen-boron physical characteristics. At the same time, the experience in the design, construction, and commissioning of the engineering, heating, and diagnostics systems on EXL-50U is also very beneficial for enhancing the feasibility of the engineering design for EHL-2.

文摘Frequency conversion is pivotal in nonlinear optics and quantum optics for manipulating and translating light signals across different wavelength regimes.Achieving frequency conversion between two light beams with a small frequency interval is a central challenge. In this work,we design a pair of coupled silicon microrings wherein coupled-induced modesplitting exists to achieve a small frequency shift by the process of four-wave mixing Bragg scattering. As an example, the signal can be up or down converted to the idler which is 15.5 GHz spaced when two pumps align with another pair of split resonances. The results unveil the potential of coupled microring resonators for small interval frequency conversion in a high-fidelity,all-optical,and signal processing quantum frequency interface.

文摘Although only about 2%of the human genome has proved to be protein-coding genes, recent advances in genome wide analysis have revealed that the majority of the genome is transcribed, mainly from noncoding segments that were once considered"junk sequences"or"dark matters"(Liu et al.,2011a;Zhang et al.,2014b). In addition to the well-characterized housekeeping non- coding RNAs (ncRNAs) (tRNA, rRNA, small nuclear RNA and small nucleolar RNAs) and some small regulatory ncRNAs (microRNAs and small interfering RNAs), the transcriptome of mammals could also pervasively have been transcribed long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs, at least 200 nt) (Rinn and Chang, 2012; Xie et al., 2012).
