The emis...The photoluminescence (PL) characteristics of Eu^3+ and Li^+ co-doped ZnO PL materials against heat-treatment temperature were discussed. The PL xerogel and powder samples were prepared by solgel process. The emission spectra of all samples showed two broad bands peaking at 590 nm and 620 nm under UV-Vis excitation. But the relative intensity of red PL (620 nm) was much greater than that of green PL (590 nm) of the same sample, that s to say, the red color was the main luminescence. With heat-treatment temperature increase, the two kinds of colors PL intensity decreased, and both the red and green PL intensity of the xerogel samples was much greater than those of powder samples respectively. The XRD patterns revealed that Eu^3+ ions were successfully incorporated in ZnO crystals in xerogel samples. When heat-treatment temperature reached 350 ℃, the Eu^3+ began to separate out of the ZnO crystals and Eu2O3 crystals came into being. When the powder sample was subjected to UV-Vis excitation, the energy transfered from the host ZnO emission to Eu^3+ became weaker than the xerogel sample.展开更多

Effect of subs...A new ionic conductor La2-xNdxMo2O9 (x=0.0-2.0) has been synthesized by wet- chemistry method. The precursors and the resultant oxide powders were characterized by DTA/TG, DSC, XRD and XPS techniques. Effect of substituting Nd for La reveals that the phase transition which occurs in La2Mo2O9 around 565℃ disappears when x>0.2. And the maximum amount of Nd stabilized the high temperature phase of βLa2Mo2O9 from cubic to tetragonal is about x =1.6. The measurements of impedance spectroscopy indicate that the ionic conductivity becomes considerably higher in comparison to that of La2Mo2O9.展开更多
Objective: To seek for a new method of integrated Chinese and western medicine in treating ankylosing spondylitis (AS) to control the disease development, shorten the therapeutic course and lower disability rate. Meth...Objective: To seek for a new method of integrated Chinese and western medicine in treating ankylosing spondylitis (AS) to control the disease development, shorten the therapeutic course and lower disability rate. Methods: Patients of AS enrolled in this study were 106 cases in Group A, who were persistently treated with traditional Chinese medicine and western medicine (TCM WM) for over 10 months, 48 cases in Group B treated with WM and 34 cases in Group C treated with non steroid anti inflammatory and analgesic agents. They were followed up for 2 years. Results: (1) Short term effect: The markedly effective rate in the 3 groups was 73.58%, 47.92% and 5.88% respectively, and the total effective rate was 96.23%, 87.50% and 41.18% respectively. The comparison of Group A with Group B and C showed significant difference, the effect in Group A was superior to that in Group B and Group C (χ 2=10.58, P <0.01 and χ 2=67.76, P <0.01 respectively). (2) Results of 2 year follow up: the recurrence rate in Group A was 18.37% (9/49), it was insignificantly different from that in Group B (7/23, 30.43%,χ 2=1.32, P >0.05), but significantly different from that in Group C (8/12, 66.67%,χ 2=11.19, P <0.01). Conclusion: Long term TCM WM therapy, which combined the advantages of Chinese and western medicine, was a practical method in treating AS with reliable effect, few side effects, and therefore is worth popularizing.展开更多
