Extracorporeal membrane oxygenation(ECMO) has been developed for nearly 70 years, and it is the main technology to treat cardiopulmonary failure and continue to maintain life.As the core component of the ECMO system, the gas exchange membrane possesses low gas permeability and plasma leakage at present. In addition, the membrane material exists low blood compatibility, causing the formation of thrombosis. Therefore, the membrane material with high gas permeability and blood compatibility are urgently needed. This paper summarizes the membrane development process, preparation method, and modification method. It provides a new idea for the preparation and coating modification as artificial lung membrane. 展开更多

Poly(4-methyl-1-pentene)hollow fiber membranes(PMP HFMs)are commonly used in gas separation membrane and artificial lung membrane in extracorporeal membrane oxygenation(ECMO),and its porous structure and mechanical properties have a significant impact on the performance of the membrane material. In our work,PMP HFMs were prepared by thermally induced phase separation method.Subsequently, through characterization analysis of powder X-ray diffraction, universal tensile machine, scanning electron microscope and other instruments, the effects of PMP concentration, diluent ratio, quenching temperature, air gap distance and winding speed on the membrane performance were systematically investigated to obtain optimal preparation conditions for PMP HFMs.The results showed that the PMP HFMs prepared under optimal conditions possessed good gas permeability with a nitrogen flux of 10.5 ml·MPa^(-1)·cm^(-2)·min^(-1),a surface dense layer, and a good tensile strength of 9.33 MPa.We believed that this work could provide useful references for the application of PMP membranes in the medical field. 展开更多

Soybean is a leguminous crop that provides oil and protein. Exploring the genomic signatures of soybean evolution is crucial for breeding varieties with improved adaptability to environmental extremes. We analyzed the genome sequences of 2,214 soybeans and proposed a soybean evolutionary route, i.e., the expansion of annual wild soybean(Glycine soja Sieb. & Zucc.) from southern China and its domestication in central China, followed by the expansion and local breeding selection of its landraces(G. max(L.) Merr.). We observed that the genetic introgression in soybean landraces was mostly derived from sympatric rather than allopatric wild populations during the geographic expansion. Soybean expansion and breeding were accompanied by the positive selection of flowering time genes, including GmSPA3c. Our study sheds light on the evolutionary history of soybean and provides valuable genetic resources for its future breeding. 展开更多
