Growth pattern by length-weight relationship (W=aLb) for the sexes differed, and exhibited positive allometric growth (male, female and combined sexes of T. chatareus; female and combined sexes of T. jaculatrix) and isometric growth (male samples of T. jaculatrix only). Trophic levels of both species were analyzed based on 128 specimens. The results show that, in both species, crustaceans and insects were the most abundant prey items, and among crustaceans the red clawed crab Sesarma bidens and Formicidae family insects were the most represented taxa. The estimated mean trophic levels for T. chatareus and T. jaculatrix were 3.422±0.009 and 3.420±0.020, respectively, indicating that they are largely carnivores. Fecundity of T. chatareus ranged from 38 354 to 147 185 eggs for females with total length ranging from 14.5 to 22.5 cm and total body weight from 48.7 to 270.2 g, and T. jaculatrix 25 251 to 150 456 eggs for females with total length ranging from 12.2 to 23.0 cm and total body weight from 25.7 to 275.0 g. Differences in values of gonadosomatic and hepatosomatic indexes calculated for both species in this study may have resulted from uneven sample size ranges.展开更多
During the isolated use of a wind system, the output voltage of the self-excited induction generator depends on the variation characteristic of its parameters: the excitation condensers, the drive speed and the load. ...During the isolated use of a wind system, the output voltage of the self-excited induction generator depends on the variation characteristic of its parameters: the excitation condensers, the drive speed and the load. Therefore, the regulation of the tension appears to be of great interest. We focused on the use of an analogical regulator of tension, with the aim of controlling the tension at the exit of the self-excited induction generator. So we modelled, implanted and simulated a wind system (Self-excited induction generator, converters (AC/DC, DC/DC) and load it) in the Orcad/Pspice environment. In the first time the behaviour of the asynchronous generator was analyzed when the load, the excitation capacitor and the drive speed vary in the absence of any form of regulation. This analysis was conducted with the aim of defining the limits of the machine exploitation. In the second time the functioning mode is controlled by an analogical control of tension. The results of simulation show the good performances of the system during the application of the proposed voltage regulator.展开更多

The diffraction experiments performed in the temperature range of 308-1100 K revealed that the alloy formed a face centered cubic （fcc） Al-type structure. The temperature dependence of the lattice parameters was investigated by using the Bragg line displacement method showing that the lattice parameter increases with the increase of temperature. The mean linear thermal expansion （MLTE（%））, coefficient of thermal expansion （CTE, α）, the characteristic Debye temperature （（θD） and mean square amplitudes of vibration were determined from XRD data. The value of Debye temperature was found to be 253 K. It was found that temperature factor was independent of the static displacements.展开更多

We also obtain some zero-free regions for a class of related analytic functions. Our results not only contain some known results as a special case but also a variety of interesting results can be deduced in a unified way by various choices of the parameters.展开更多

A proper fertilizer and crop management practices are required. An attempt was made to convert this land into a sustainable production land for pineapple. Therefore, the objective of the study was to determine the effect of foliar copper fertilizer on the growth and fruit quality of pineapple cv. N36, for fresh consumption planted in Entisol type BRIS soil at the east coast of Peninsular Malaysia. The complete randomized design （CRD） method with three replications was used at 0 to 6.6 kg.ha^-1 of copper sulfate. Results demonstrated that the unpleasant effect of BRIS soil on brix value was restored with copper fertilizer. The most suitable quantity of foliar copper fertilizer for pineapple cv. N36 planted in Entisol type BRIS are between 1.6 to 3.3 kg.ha^-1 of copper sulfate.展开更多
