HandleSystem是出现最早、应用最广的数字对象唯一标识系统之一。本文介绍了HandleSystem的设计目标、命名空间与服务、与其它因特网服务的差异及其应用。
The Handle System is the earliest and the most widely used digital object identifying system. Thispaper explains the design objective, name space and service, the comparison to internet other services andthe applications of the Handle System.
