摘要
汽车工业的繁荣给北美城市带来了深远的影响。在经历了长达半个世纪的低密度增长之后,人们对这种蔓延增长模式进行了反思,“新城市主义”规划思潮应运而生,“TOD”(Transit-orientedDevelopment)作为其中最重要的规划手法开始在理论与实践中得到研究和应用。本文系统地介绍“TOD”作为一种新的规划理论其产生和发展的过程,以及近年来在美国的研究现状。
Automobile industry has far-reachinginfluence on North American cities. North Americancities have been sprawling for about fifty years andthe urban sprawl is being rethought deeply. Neo-Urbanism as a new planning theory arises and spreadswidely. “TOD” (Transit-oriented development)as one of the most important techniques of Neo-Urbanism theory is widely applied in urbandevelopment. This dissertation hopes to systematicallypresent whole aspects of TOD and its new progress inUSA.
