Special Symposiums in CIGRE'2000 are reviewed. The main subjects discussed are power systems in 2020, power engineering education, and power supply security in electricity market. The discussions deal with development of power industry, change of power structure and generation technology, courses of power engineering education and training, experiences and modes of electricity market, and investment of power industry in the future.[KH2D]
