摘要
The“Compulsory Education English Curriculum Standards(2022)”points out that cultural awareness is an important component of the core literacy of the English subject.Based on Bloom’s classification theory of educational goals,this study adopted methods such as literature analysis,questionnaire survey and interview to conduct an investigation in a certain middle school in Xianyang City,exploring the current situation of junior high school students’learning of English cultural awareness.The research finds that students demonstrate relatively strong performance in lower-order cognitive skills,but their higher-order thinking is significantly weak,reflecting the current tendency of shallowness and fragmentation in cultural teaching.Further analysis shows that although teachers generally recognize the concept of deep learning,due to factors such as the pressure of class hours and the evaluation system oriented by language knowledge,cultural teaching and language practice have not been effectively integrated.Based on this,improvement strategies such as constructing progressive courses,context-based teaching and multiple evaluations are proposed to promote the transition of learners from lower-order cognition to higher-order thinking.This research provides practical references for the implementation of core literacy in the English subject.
