摘要 The liver damage associated with type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM)is one of the main causes of liver-related deaths globally and has become a major health concern. This study used 16S rRNA sequencing and untargeted metabolomics to investigate the mechanisms by which Allicin extract improves liver injury in Streptozotocin(STZ)-induced T2DM rats. The results showed that Allicin intervene significantly reduced the level of ALT in serum and alleviated liver injury.Allicin can maintain the diversity of the intestinal microbiome and restore the relative abundance of some microbial communities affected by T2DM.Additionally,Allicin can improve the metabolism of Taurine and other related metabolites,it also can mediate related metabolic pathways, effectively regulating glucose and lipid metabolism. The research results that Allicin improves liver damage in T2DM rats by modulating intestinal microbiota and metabolic processes.
