The large number and diverse types of Yue-style bronze tripods unearthed from Dahan cemetery in Tengzhou,Shandong Province, are of great importance to studying the cultural exchanges between the Sishui river basin and the lower reaches of the Yangtze River. The Yuestyle tripod unearthed from Dahan cemetery have high content of tin, using the lead materials not only from the Central Plains, the Nanling mountains,as well as eastern Zhejiang region. The lead traced back to Zhejiang was also widely used in central southern Shandong to produce local style ritual vessels. The lead material characteristics of bronzes unearthed from cemeteries in Tengzhou demonstrate the strong impact of the northward stage of Yue Culture on the bronze casting resources of Teng,Xue,Ni and other states along the Sishui river.
