摘要
目前,衡量制浆造纸专业人员综合水平的重要参考标准是专业人员英语口语能力。在英语构词法在制浆造纸专业英语词汇教学基础上,对英语构词中词源、词缀、词素等概念进行解读;阐述制浆造纸专业中专业性术语、通用性术语等翻译技巧以及英文缩略词在英语教学过程中的优势特征;分析并举例说明单词合成法、派生法等英语构词法在制浆造纸专业英文翻译中的实际应用;旨在能够有效提升高校制浆造纸专业英语教学质量、提升学生英语单词、识词、翻译以及口语能力,为我国培养大量具备综合素质能力人才。
At present,the important reference standard to measure the comprehensive level of pulp and paper professionals is their oral English ability.On the basis of English word formation teaching in pulp and paper specialty English vocabulary teaching,this paper explains the concepts of etymology,affix and morpheme in English word formation.This paper expounds the translation skills of professional terms and general terms in pulp and paper specialty as well as the advantages and characteristics of English abbreviations in English teaching.The practical application of word formation methods such as word synthesis and derivation in English translation for pulp and paper specialty is analyzed and illustrated with examples.It aims to effectively improve the English teaching quality of pulp and paper specialty in colleges and universities,improve students’ English words,recognition of words,translation and oral English ability,and cultivate a large number of talents with comprehensive quality and ability for China.
