摘要
《千佛像》的绘制年代大致在公元12世纪中后期,其题材是忏悔图画《三十五佛》,这一图像在西夏时期有了新的发展。虽然它藏风很盛,但仍有较为明显的中原佛画的一些风格元素。《千佛图》中的塔龛组合结构与莫高窟76窟存在密切联系,塔身的造型来自汉地的传统,塔刹部分则反映出西夏艺术接受了藏传佛教的深刻影响。这种塔样某种程度上反映了西夏艺术家处理各种文化因素、风格来源和艺术传统的思维模式和方式方法。
The Thousand-Buddha painting was depicted approximately in the middle or late 12th century.Its subject is the confessional motif of the"Thirty-five Buddha".This kind of paintings had a new development during the Xixia period.Although the painting's Tibetan style is very strong,factors derived from Chinese Buddhist paintings can be clearly identified.The combined structure of pagoda niches in the Thousand-Buddha painting is closely related to Cave 76 of Mogao Grottoes.The shape of the pagoda's body comes from the Chinese tradition,but the Sōrin reflects that the art of Xixia was profoundly influenced by the Tibetan Buddhism.To some extent,this kind of pagoda reflects the thinking patterns and methods that how Xixia artists dealt with various cultural factors,styles and artistic traditions.
