摘要
吴汝纶是皖籍教育家之一,他致力于中国近代教育事业,其声名远播海内外。为了摆脱统治危机,清末实施“新政”,照搬照抄西方大学办学的理念和经验。基于此,吴汝纶提出了“不唯模仿,熔而化之”的理念,这对中国大学的近代化转型具有进步意义。“不唯模仿”绝非“不模仿”,而是有选择、有节制地模仿;“熔而化之”可以从聚焦和分解、归类和重整、重塑大学文化等三个方面进行理解。新中国成立70周年以来,目前高等教育的发展取得了前所未有的成就,但仍然处在一定的发展阶段内,还须在一定范围和程度内模仿西方,吴汝纶的“不唯模仿,熔而化之”及其散发的智慧之光还将对今人具有指导和借鉴价值。
Wu Rulun was a famous educator from Anhui Provence.He was committed to China’s modern education,which had earned him a great reputation both at home and abroad.In order to get rid of the ruling crisis,the Qing Dynasty implemented the Nominal political reforms in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.In the process,copying without deep thinking became prevalent in the philosophy of China at that time,so all kinds of experiences of running universities in Western universities was introduced.For this trend,Wu Rulun proposed ideas of university of“not only imitating,melting and turning”,which was the wisdom reserved for future generations.
