Since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1972, the three major elements that affect the normal development of Sino-Japanese relations have always existed: One is Japan' s wrong attitude toward the history of war; one is Diaoyu Islands Dispute; and the other one is non-unified Taiwan Question. Judging from the external environment of the Taiwan Straits, there are two major factors preventing the process of "one country, two systems and peaceful reunification" , namely, the strategic interference from the United States and Japan, respectively. During the Cold War, the US' s intervention in Taiwan was mainly in the political and security fields, while Japan' s intervention was more reflected in the economic and cultural fields. But since the post-cold war era in twenty-first century, especially during the twenty years of Chen Shuibian and Li Denghui (1988-2008), the political relationship between Japan and Taiwan is rapidly developing and expanding. In the Sino-Japanese relations, the proportion of the Taiwan problem is increasing rapidly. Due to the Japanese colonialism in political, economic, cultural and other fields in the past half century, Japan's impact on Taiwan has surpassed any other countries. Needless to say, all the facts and laws about Taiwan prove that Taiwan is an inalienable part of Chinese territory.
