Vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF)is a specific vascular growth factor,which play an important role in the angiogenesis.VEGF and its receptors are strongly expressed in human placenta,this is very important to maintain the normal development and function of the placenta.Pregnancy induced hypertension is a serious syndrome which has endothelial cell damage as its key link of pathogenesis.Recently,some researchers have found that the abnormal expression of VEGF is related to the pathogenesis of pregnancy induced hypertension syndrome.
