摘要
为研究长江口深水航道整治工程实施过程中的若干技术问题，交通部在上海建造一座长江口大型潮汐模型，以长江口外开敞海区的旋转流为主要特点，使相关水域的潮汐流场达到与原型相似。
A large tidal model of the Yangtze Estuary,approved by the Ministry of Communications,has been set up in Shanghai,for the purpose of resolving some technical problems in execution of the Yangtze Estuary deep water channel regulation project The model,with the main characteristic of simulating successfully the rotary current in the open sea outside of the Yangtze Estuary,makes the tidal current field of the engineering section and its adjacent waters similar to the prototype,and provides reliable basis for the research of the engineering problems
