摘要
美国电影的中国人形象研究有三种态度:对抗式解读,如"妖魔化"、"威胁论"、"误读论"等;反思性解读,承认文化差异和现状,用反思的心态去理解"中国人形象";乐观式解读,用充分的文化自信心理去感受中国人国际形象的提升。这些解读呈现出三个特点:20世纪电影文本成为美国电影之中国形象研究的主流;研究内容和方法具有很强的开放性;研究成果体现了抵制和反思两种倾向。审视过去的研究,还有三个方面的不足:对21世纪的电影文本注意不够;强调文化冲突忽略文化融合;对西方理论的应用不够中国化。
There are three kinds of attitudes towards the study of the Chinese image in American film. Firstly, it is the adversarial in- terpretation, such as "Demonizing", "Threat Theory", "Misreading Theory" and so on. Secondly, it' s the reflective interpretation that we have to recognized and respected the cultural differences and status, and views the "image of Chinese people'* with a state of reflective mind. Thirdly, the optimistic interpretation, which is along with cultural self - confidence, observes the enhancement of the international image of the Chinese people. And, these interpretations indicate three characteristics, which are the film text becoming the mainstream of Chinese image in American film study in the 20th century, the research content and method having the feature of be- ing open, and the research achievements embodying two tendencies of the boycott and reflection. Taking a look around the past resear- ches, there are three disadvantages : lacking attention to the new - made films in the 21st century, emphasizing the culture conflict and ignoring the culture fusion, together with being short of the Sinicization of Western theories in application.
