From Labor Control to Management Control:the Transformation of Capitalist Workplace

摘要 基于布雷弗曼对资本主义劳动过程变迁中工人主体性研究的缺失,后布雷弗曼时代劳动过程研究的核心问题是雇佣劳动的反抗与管理策略的动态相互作用。从蒙哥马利的"工人控制"到弗里德曼的"直接控制"与"责任自治",再到爱德沃兹的以"技术控制"和"官僚控制"为一体的"结构控制"等研究,通过引入工人主体性,分析了资本及其代理人从资本积累出发,如何控制劳动过程的具体组织方法。这些研究进一步扩展和丰富了自马克思以来的劳动过程理论,同时也阐明在资本主义经济发展的不同时空范围内,具体劳动过程的组织存在着多种选择。 Braverman's lack of consideration of the subjectivity of workers in the changing capitalist labor process has led to many criticism and controversy.Studies of the labor process focus on the interaction between the resistance of wage-labor and managerial strategies after Braverman.These researches,from Montgomery's 'workers control' to Friedman's 'direct control' and 'responsible autonomy',and then to Edwards's 'structural control' which integrates 'technical control' and 'bureaucratic control',analyze how capital or its agents select the concrete organization of labor process in order to realize capital accumulation by introducing workers subjectivity.Their researches have further expanded and enriched the labor process theory since Marx,and informed us that there are many choices about concrete organization of labor process within the different spatial and temporal dimensions of the economic development of capitalism,while specific social economic relations will decide which labor process is to be selected.
