摘要
从中国高等工程教育发展史的角度重新审视,清华学校在层次上应划归高等教育范畴;其实科教育具有明显的理工科专业倾向性;从民族性来看,她是一所充满美国色彩的中国学校。清华学校的办学特点对其后来发展为高水平工科大学具有重要影响,体现在充足稳定的经费保障,教育教学的美国化,严格的管理与考核以及全面发展的培养模式等方面。这种再认识有利于恢复历史的本来面目,对当代中国高等工程教育深化改革有重要启示意义。
From the perspective of the history of China＇s higher education of engineering, Tsinghua School is one part of higher education. The applied science education in the school belongs to technological science. As seen from nationality, it is a China＇s school full of American characteristics. The features of the school make great contribution to its development into a high-level technological university, and these fea- tures include the sufiqcient and steady financial support, the Americanization of teaching, strict management and examination, and all-around training mode. The reconsideration can be helpful for us to restore the history of true colours and is of great enlightenment to the reform of present China＇s higher education of en-gineering.
