摘要
玉柄形器是夏至西周时期中原地区比较常见的具有某种宗教祭祀色彩的重要礼器。根据考古学、古文字学和历史文献学资料,玉柄形器应定名为"瓒",它是三代祼祭用玉之一,将鬯酒灌注于玉瓒美食,贡献给祖先神灵歆享,应是祼祭的核心内容,也是"祼"字的本义。
The jade handle-shaped artifacts were a cult equipment which occurred commonly and carried certain religious and sacrificing significance from the Xia down to Western Zhou dynasty in the Central Plain of China. Based on archaeological, paleographic and textual sources, the object should be designated as zan which was one type of jades used for theguan ritual in the Three Dynasties period. During the ritual, chang（鬯 ） wine was poured on jade and food as sacrificial offerings to Gods or ancestors. This ceremony was the core content of the guan ritual and, thus, was assigned as the original meaning of the character guan .
