摘要
英语中的"it"出现频率远远高于汉语中的"它"的频率。It可以作为指示代词、虚代词、定指代词和非定指代词等使用。但在特定的语篇中,it的使用频率、意义与功能和文风的不同有所差异。对语料选篇的分析发现,根据不同的文风和信息的突显度,it的使用在意义和功能上都有特殊性。
The frequency of ＂it＂ in English is much higher than ＂它 ＂ in Chinese. It can be used as demonstrative pronouns, empty pronouns, indefmite pronouns, definite pronouns and so on. Howevex, the frequency, meaning and functions of ＂it＂ in a specific discourse are different. The use of ＂it＂ in meaning and function has particularity according to the various style and highlight of infonnation in chosen discourse.
