Application of Multizone Ultrasonic Inspection for Great Thickness EBW

摘要 采用多区聚焦超声检测技术检测结构件的大厚度电子束焊焊缝。通过人工缺陷上检测灵敏度试验,结果表明:厚70mm以内检测灵敏度可以达到0.4mm平底孔且信噪比达到9dB以上,完全满足超声可检性的要求;水浸法平探头检测和接触法纵波检测的信噪比差,均不如多区聚焦检测,无法满足超声可检性要求。对于厚度为60mm的电子束焊缝,多区聚焦检测能检测出0.4-15dB的小缺陷,优于射线照相检验的灵敏度。因此多区聚焦检测技术是大厚度电子束焊缝质量评价的有效工具。 In the purpose of inspecting great thickness EBW, multizone focused inspection technique was applied. The results of sensitivity testing on the defect specimen were showed: the sensitivity was achieved φ0.4mm flat bottom holes and signal to noise ratio(S/N) was achieved above 9dB beyond 70mm,it achieves the demands of ultrasonic inspection; The signal to noise ratio(S/N) is poor with immersion flat transducer inspection and contact method using longitudinal wave, not achieving the de- mands of ultrasonic inspection. φ0.4^15dB small defect was discovered with multizone ultrasonic inspection technique beyond 60mm. and the sensitivity was better than X-ray. So multizone focused inspec tion was effective for quality evaluation of great thickness EBW.
