摘要
曹禺话剧的成功,在很大程度上有赖于对西方文化的学习,尤其是对外国戏剧的学习和借鉴。综观其话剧创作,基督教文化、希腊悲剧、易卜生、莎士比亚和契诃夫等西方文化和戏剧家的创作对曹禺的话剧影响最大,曹禺的话剧是民族的,也是世界的。
To a great extent, Cao Yu's drama is snccessful in his borrowing ideas from the westem culture andespecially from the westem dramas of Christianity, Greece, Ibsen, Shakespeare, and Anton Chekhov etc. that had a biginfluence on his creation. In this sense, Cao Yu's drama not only belongs to China, but also to the world.
