摘要
以徐州矿务局的实践说明了科学技术在煤炭生产中，对降低死亡率及事故率的作用，认为煤炭行业要依靠科技进步，保护劳动力。针对煤炭企业应用现代科技的困难和问题提出了对策和建议。
The role of science andtechnology in reducing the mortality and accident rate of coal mining operation is described, and it is proposed that the coal industry conserve the work force by relying on technological advancement. Measures are suggested to solve the problems of coal producing enterprises in applying modern sicence and technology.
