High voltage nanosecond pulse generator for calibrating voltage dividers

摘要 研制了一台高电压毫微秒脉冲发生器,它将用于标定快响应的分压器.该发生器由直流高电压电源、50欧姆脉冲形成线、紧凑型气体火花开关、50欧姆脉冲传输线构成,可输出脉宽100ns、幅值5~10kV的准矩形电压脉冲.当开关中为1个大气压空气时,其输出脉冲的上升时间约13ns;若希望得到更短的脉冲的上升时间,可将气体开关的气压增大. A high voltage nanosecond pulse generator for calibrating voltage dividers with fast time response was constructed. The generator consists of a DC high voltage source, a pulse forming line (PFL), a spark gap switch and a pulse transmission line (PTL). Polyethylene dielectric coaxial cables were used as PFE and PTL. Both cables are 10 meters long and with impedance of 5012. A compact coaxial switch was designed and inserted between PFL and PTL. When PFL is c delivers a 5kV pressurized gas harged to a voltage about lOkV a 3mm air gap inside the spark gap switch will be broken down, which and 100 ns voltage pulse to the load along the PTL. If higher voltage and shorter risetime are needed, could be filled into the switch.
