摘要
以脾曲为界,可将结肠分为近段和远段两部分。近段和远段结肠在胚胎起源、生理、生化特性方面截然不同。对结肠癌流行病学、发病机制等的研究,深刻揭示了其基于部位差异而临床表现、治疗反应和预后显著不同的内在根源。结合肿瘤部位、临床和病理、分子生物学特征进行结肠癌分类将为结肠癌的有效防治奠定基础。
Embryological, physiological and biochemical data suggest that proximal and distal （right- or left-sided） parts of the colon in relation to the splenic flexure represent distinct functional entities. Recent advances in epidemiology and tumorigenesis of colon cancer have elucidated profoundly the bases upon which lie the differences in clinical presentations, responses to therapy and prognosis between those two cancers. Classification of colonic carcinomas in conjunction with anatomical location, clinicopathology and molecular signature will guide tailored prevention and therapy.
