摘要
本文从强调工作要求实务实、真抓实干的角度，结合基层科技图书馆目前普遍存在着的在管理自动化工作中的一些偏差，浅述了在新时期图书馆求实的可靠途径和务实的正确选择，强化整体观念，建立和完善图书馆的法规体系，在求实的氛围中正确处理好建数据库与建立管理系统的关系，使在现代化氛围中的图书馆自动化工作沿着正确方向和轨道运行。
