摘要
辣椒雄性不育系小孢子发育过程的细胞学观察表明,雄性不育系小孢子败育发生在四分小孢子形成以前。由于绒毡层细胞发育异常,高度液泡化,挤压小孢子母细胞,严重影响了减数分裂的正常进行,不能形成正常花粉粒而导致败育。辣椒雄性不育系的花器明显小于保持系,前者成熟花药瘦小、千瘪,无花粉粒或花粉粒极少,花粉粒碘化反应不着色或着色极淡。扫描电镜下观察:辣椒雄性不育系的花粉粒表面光滑,无明显乳状突起,保持系花粉粒则有明显的萌发沟,表面有规则的乳状突起。
The floral organs of two sets of male sterile lines and maintainer lines of pepper (Capsicum annuum L. ) were compared with each other. The results indicated that the flowers of the male sterile lines were significantly smaller than those of the maintainer lines. Compared with the maintainer lines, the anthers of the sterile lines were small, dry and shriveled. They didn't split open when mature, having no pollen grains or only a few. When treated with iodine solution, they showed no color or only extremely light blue color. Electron microscope scanning revealed abnormal morphology and structure of the anther and pollen grains of the MS line.
Microscopic observation of microsporogenesis of the male sterile lines revealed that abortion occured before tetrad formation. The tapetal cells developed abnormally. They became highly vacuolate, pressing the microsporocyte seriously, interfering the normal procedure of meiosis, and finally leading to pollen grain abortion.
